Booked the two room suite for a family vacation. Have stayed before and decided to stay again. Last time there we enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much and that influenced our decision. Upon check-in we were informed that the pool was out of service and that the hot tub was closed also because of that. They said they... More

This place is a steal for high-priced Santa Barbara. Check their website for specials. We paid $78.00 a night for the room, Monday & Tuesday. The motel is located up-town on State St, but only a few minutes drive from the busy downtown area of State St. It is an older 2-story motel, but seems to have been recently renovated.... More

I stayed in the Sandpiper for several nights over New Year's Eve. The hotel was set back from the street and quiet. The only noise I heard was when people walked by my room talking. My room was spacious and clean. The WiFi was intermittent. Standard complimentary breakfast: cereal, toast, yogurt, coffee. I would recommend the Sandpiper for it's quiet,... More

Excellent, clean roomy rooms and a breakfast in a fascinating dining room! Hard to beat value for money, with breakfast included. A little away form downtown, but worth the drive. We enjoyed our night there. Highly recommended for an above basic place to stay.

(I was there for the Thanksgiving Holiday to visit with my family. What a fabulous place to stay in Santa Barbara. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Tony was exceptional. The beds were the best. A little high for this short woman, but I have never slept better. I enjoyed the spa. The breakfast was good too. The prices... More

Sure does look great on the pictures. Nice area with lots of shops. I had no major complaints about anything, and it is in fact, a step up from Motel 6 which is, by the way, right next door. Rooms are a little bit bigger, prices are a little bit higher. Nice and quiet at night. But expect to be... More

Only stayed for a night, and arrived as the sun went down. Stayed on the second floor, and all was OK. Did not enjoy carrying the luggage upstairs, but Hey-Ho. Room was nothing special, however it was clean and just what we needed. Breakfast was simple and served in a room that had been converted to be a breakfast room... More

After a very long day driving , it was a dream to check in at this hotel. It is in a good location with a few places to eat either side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and clean . The room itself had a massive flat screen TV and the bed was very comfortable.... More

We went road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles and stayed one night in Sandpiper lodge. There was excellent service and breakfast was ok. Room was quiet and clean. Good location. If you are coming with car you can park safe.
