(I was there for the Thanksgiving Holiday to visit with my family. What a fabulous place to stay in Santa Barbara. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Tony was exceptional. The beds were the best. A little high for this short woman, but I have never slept better. I enjoyed the spa. The breakfast was good too. The prices... More

Sure does look great on the pictures. Nice area with lots of shops. I had no major complaints about anything, and it is in fact, a step up from Motel 6 which is, by the way, right next door. Rooms are a little bit bigger, prices are a little bit higher. Nice and quiet at night. But expect to be... More

Only stayed for a night, and arrived as the sun went down. Stayed on the second floor, and all was OK. Did not enjoy carrying the luggage upstairs, but Hey-Ho. Room was nothing special, however it was clean and just what we needed. Breakfast was simple and served in a room that had been converted to be a breakfast room... More

After a very long day driving , it was a dream to check in at this hotel. It is in a good location with a few places to eat either side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and clean . The room itself had a massive flat screen TV and the bed was very comfortable.... More

We went road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles and stayed one night in Sandpiper lodge. There was excellent service and breakfast was ok. Room was quiet and clean. Good location. If you are coming with car you can park safe.

We stayed here after booking as a last minute option. I don't understand why it is only rated 2 stars! The service was great, close to everything, it was super clean, it had new very comfortable mattresses, wifi and a delicious breakfast! I would definitely return!

A traditional motel that appears to have been recently upgraded and treated to a makeover. Appears well maintained and has good facilities in the shape of a small swimming pool and breakfast dining facility. Double beds were ginormous and dont forget to pack a stepladder in order to climb in. Just make sure you don't roll over and fall out.... More

The breakfast croissants are delicious and the pool is truly heated. Most places say they are but you can't get in them. This pool actually has hot water coming into it and is a nice enough setting. Also like the extended breakfast till 10:00. Very good staff and front desk. Property is relatively quite. Would come back. Good value.

We stayed at Sandpiper Lodge last weekend when we decided to stay in Santa Barbara an extra night after my college reunion weekend. Since the busy hotel weekend was over, we were happy to find that they had rooms available for a reasonable amount. I had stayed at Sandpiper over 14 years ago when I was considering going to college... More

We stayed on 10/11/14 and when we arrived I was told that we were being upgraded to a better room for a lack of better words. We booked on line and requested a room with king bed. When we entered the smell of the room was overwhelming smelled old and dirty. We were told at the desk that they were... More
