If you don't mind the mold in the bathrooms. I asked for another room but they are all the same moldy. The toilet don't work you have to hold them down to flush. The carpet is disgusting. If you stay there taking your own blankets. The main cover was as black as the bottom of my shoes. In our Showers... more

I stayed at Sandpiper the first week in June and I really enjoyed my stay. From the moment my fiance and I arrived, I had only good experiences at the hotel. The front desk people were more than helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our visit to Santa Barbara. When we needed a taxi to head... more

When traveling with teens, it is great to have a separate room with two double beds for them. We traveled to a soccer tournament at the University of Santa Barbara, so this motel was... more

Sandpiper Lodge offers one of the best deals in town. I received a 30% discount on the last night of my three night stay. I was in the city for a Commencement ceremony at Westmont College. I was there during the fires and all I have to say is that I was impressed in how the hotel's staff managed and... more

I can only say that my friends and I were in the room most of the time chatting amongst ourselves and only stepping out to see who else who has arrived. The evening was getting late and the manager began bullying us into staying in our rooms for fear of further complaints on Friday night. However, we never received any... more

We were staying at the Sandpiper for an annual event that brings about 2,000 people to Santa Barbara. People for the event had booked about 80% of the Sandpiper, as well as every other hotel in the city. The entire time we were there management and staff was rude and aggressive, threatening us multiple times when we were not out... more

If you do, beware the drunk/drugged people that hang out in the parking lot all night long. We left, and at this point I am fighting to get my money back. The manager saw all that was going on, and did nothing to stop it-they probably make their major money from the partyers. Wish they would have told us this... more
