I'm staying here this evening with my daughter and was impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the price, so I booked it. Little did I know how horribly noisy the guests staying here would be. There was a group of middle schoolers who checked in to take up most of the motel. Running down the halls, yelling, etc...... More

After searching for 2 days for a family-friendly, clean, convenient, bang-for-your buck hotel in Santa Barbara, I came across the Sandpiper Lodge. When I say EVERYTHING was perfect, I mean everything. The room we stayed in had another bedroom which allowed us to accommodate the 5 of us...unreal for the price!! Exceptionally clean and quiet. Check-in took less than 2... More

We stayed here for two nights. Car parking is free and a delicious breakfast included in price in a small upstairs dining area. It is only 2 star hotel but everything was clean and shower was hot with good water flow. It had everything we needed. My only complaint is interior lighting was very dim making it hard to read.... For this area I was very impressed with the bang for the buck. No its not a five star hotel it is a 2 or three star but it serves it's purpose! Don't spend your time in the hotel anyways you are in Santa barbara!

We got lucky when we found this little gem. First, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The grounds were pleasant and well-kept. Inside the room, the bed was SOOO comfortable! The room was clean, with plenty of space. It has had good care, even though it is clearly an older lodge. I would stay there again in a... More

I made a one-night reservation at the Sandpiper Lodge for a business trip that turned into a 3-night stay. I used to love staying at the Sandman Inn (a quirky, 50's era motor hotel with lots of character, just down the road), but it just closed. Each morning I checked out, then checked back in at the end of the... More

My family took a trip to Santa Barbara, so our 20 year old son could visit his girlfriend at UCSB and our college bound daughter could check out the campus. Great rate for the 2 bedroom suite. Very comfortable beds and pillows. My husband and I prefer soft support and we were pleasantly surprised. The only negative was rude people... More

Travelled to Santa Barbara for wedding. Property is around 2.5 miles to town center, and It's about a 10 minute drive down State street to where the main "drag" is. Reason we selected this property is they have a 2 room suite with 3 beds and the price point compared to many hotels/motels was good. For what it is, 2/3... More

Booked the two room suite for a family vacation. Have stayed before and decided to stay again. Last time there we enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much and that influenced our decision. Upon check-in we were informed that the pool was out of service and that the hot tub was closed also because of that. They said they... More

This place is a steal for high-priced Santa Barbara. Check their website for specials. We paid $78.00 a night for the room, Monday & Tuesday. The motel is located up-town on State St, but only a few minutes drive from the busy downtown area of State St. It is an older 2-story motel, but seems to have been recently renovated.... More
