Frigid rooms, walls as thick as rice paper, a bathroom as spacious as a coffin, road noise that induces inner ear meltdown.... sound like a great place to stay so far??? I dont ask too much when I travel.... a somewhat comfortable bed, clean bathroom and a roof over my head. But I do ask for a certain value per... More

Its location allows you to roam around downtown Santa Barbara without needing a car. You can walk down to the shops n restaurants or catch the shuttle that runs on State street and its only a 7-10 minute walk form the Inn. Rooms were very big as shown in the pics online and the beds were decent. Bathroom while spacious... More

We arrived in Santa Barbara in the dark on a Friday night , it was getting late and we had travelled miles .Driving in the dark was scary as we were from Australia and driving on the opposite side of the road in the dark can be quite frightening .We arrived at the orange tree without a booking (Silly us... Positive: Big room with plenty of space. Balcony with nice view of the mountains. Free parking. Negative: Website promised a safe but this room didn't have one. Thin walls. You can hear everything going on in the room next to you. Flimsy door lock. Didn't feel very safe. Location is OK. 10-15 minutes walk to State Street shopping and restaurants.... More

You get a clean room, great location for about $100 a night. I couldn't find lower in Santa Barbara as it's an expensive town to stay in. But, it was clean, great location and has a pool. It does not have a continental breakfast in the morning though and that was a disappointment.

I have stayed here several times because it's a nice walk down to State Street and a short cab ride home after going out and enjoying Santa Barbara. The rooms are functionally clean, the king sized bed very comfortable. In most places you would expect a little more for the price. Service last time was a little disappointing. I requested... More

Really plesent greeting after a long drive, given a complimentary upgrade and allowed to check on early as our room was ready. Room was spacious, with a courtyard garden and had been recently decorated, so felt more modern than your traditional motel. The room was clean, with plenty of lighting (makes a nice change) and had coffee making facilities. However,... More

Good location and the chap in reception was very very helpful with our onward journey. The room was very basic and not as clean as you would hope for but the bedding was fresh and the towels were clean, had to laugh though that the complementary shampoos etc had already been used but the cleaner did not replace them!,,. Not... More

We stayed here because we had to be at the airport early the next morning. Great room-although the bathroom did have a dead spider in it with ants crawling on it. Makes me wonder about the maid service??? Motel required a $100 security hold on a credit card. This was not included in the original booking information-one lady walked out... More

My son and I spent 3 nights at the inn and enjoyed how fast we got anywhere in SB. The place is clean, boasts of a swimming pool and the rooms are spacious. On the downside we heard our neighbours quite well.
