We stayed here one night, arriving from San Diego via Amtrak. We walked to the hotel from the Santa Barbara Amtrak station. Our room, #124, was nice, clean, had everything we needed for our stay. Had a little patio, also. The desk clerk was very friendly and very helpful! We asked him for a recommendation for a casual, "no frills"... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Orange Tree Inn. It's a pretty much "no frills" kind of place. It was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are very small, but adequate. Toilet, very small sink, and a shower. The property has been maintained well. The management is very courteous and helpful. There is no breakfast and, from reading the other reviews,... More

The room is very basic, staff is very friendly and it is right on State Street in Santa Barbara. However, it is around 40 mins walking from the beach and it was overpriced for what you get. They also do not offer breakfast so I don't know why they charge around 180usd for the room. I guess Santa Barbara hotels... More

Clean and modern room, good service. Some outdoor access, very appreciated ! Expensive for the location, but not that much considering prices in Santa Barbara. You'll need a car to get to the action and the beach.

Recently stayed in Santa Barbara and felt that the Orange Tree Inn met our requirements for a basic motel which was walking distance into town. Room was large and had patio doors which led onto our own private patio area near the pool which was nice. Staff seemed friendly and keen to help. The only real thing lacking was a... More

Recently I traveled with my husband and grown son to the Santa Barbara area. It was Labor Day weekend and finding a hotel for that Saturday night was difficult and expensive. It would have been easy to spend $300 +/night. I kept searching and found this Inn which was about 1 mile to the downtown area and 2 miles to... More

We had a 1 night stay in Santa Barbara and chose this hotel as a base. The location is good as you have only a 10-15 minute walk to the centre where there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. We arrived on the weekend of a Spanish Fiesta , this was not planned and the town was very very... More

We stayed here for one night as part of our drive down the coast. It was a great stop off and accomodated our group of 5 in one room which was excellent. It was cheap and clean which is what we were looking for. It is in walking distance of the main street where you will find lovely shops and... More

We stayed at the Orange Tree for one night and found it to be a great experience. After we checked in, the man at the front desk explained that we might hear noise in the morning because of the work that was occurring next door. He also shared they were working to make sure that the dust around the pool... More

Well I have to admit that I keep the star rating in mind when I review hotel properties. If it's a five star hotel my expectations are five star, two stars, I expect a two star experience and so on. I booked the Orange Tree Inn because it was the only hotel I could find in Santa Barbara that didn't... More
