This hotel is really great! The service, location, and quality couldn't be better. The rooms are terrific and they paid a lot of attention to detail, Didn;t miss an opportunity to make the visit memorable. The only place we'll stay in SB. more

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at the Harbor View Inn with our almost 2 year old and my mother. I had originally booked a suite at the Biltmore Four Seasons, but feeling too guilty about the spending that much money I cancelled the Four Seasons and got 2 rooms at the Harbor View and saved about $700... more

We've stayed at the Harbor View Inn many times and really enjoyed it. This time we tried to book an ocean view suite for a lovely family holiday and they will not allow our two children in the suite. It's a ridiculous policy - one that they should review. They've now lost our business. more

We appreciate your comments regarding our suites and would like to clarify why we are unable to accommodate a family of four in these particular rooms. Our suites are to be used in “honeymoon” fashion, (whereby they sleep two people) and are simply not large enough to accommodate two rollaway beds/cribs in that it becomes a fire hazard. We are...

We stayed for 5 nights, first visit to Santa Barbara. Our room was an ocean front king on the 3rd floor, good view of the beach and Stearns Wharf with still some privacy from the street and beach. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. We would have used a refrigerator, we did not use the minibar. The in room... more

I must say The Harbor View Inn was one of the amazing hotels i ever stayed in. I stayed here for 1 week in July in 2008 and 2007. The staff was exceptional. They were so helpful and always checking if we needed anything. We stayed here after visiting Las Vegas, and to be honest it was a much appreciated... more

We booked a room here through Travelocity. When we got to the hotel they did not have a reservation for us -- Travelocity completely messed up! The hotel staff set in motion right away to find us a room. They were sold out that night and only had one room where the A/C wasn't working. We went to check it... more

The hotel has an excellent location just across from the historic pier and ocean. We selected the ocean view room and were not disappointed with the slight increase in price. It was very clean and modern. My wife also enjoyed the spa located within the hotel, it has a hot tub and sauna available for clients to use after their... more

On a drive from Vegas to San Francisco, myself and my partner dropped in here on spec. We figured we'd start near the top of the tree and let that be our benchmark in terms of what we were prepared to pay during off season. We were greeted by a really helpful guy at reception who gave us a room... more

It's not the Biltmore in Montecito, but its the next best thing! We absolutely loved the Harbor View Inn. Right across from the beach and harbor. The room was just really great! Immaculate, nicely decorated, comfortable, walk-in closet and more! I wanted to move in and not go home. Besides Santa Barbara is just great by itself. more

I need to start this review with a caveat. Santa Barbara is a fantastic vacation destination with huge demand from nearby Los Angeles, as well as from tourists from all over the world. The hotel stock tends to be disappointing-- flawed in various ways, and always overpriced compared to equivilent accomodations in other California towns. Given all this, the Harbor... more
