Our family, including 3 children stayed one night here on our way up the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel property and our room was beautiful. The room was large enough to accomodate a rollaway bed and the kids were very impressed with everything. We strolled along the wharf and would definitely return. more

We stayed at the Harbor View Inn for one night when driving from Carmel to L.A. along the Coast Road (Highway 1). My family including 2 children under 2 loved the pool and the lovely location by the sea. The rooms are spacious and the staff friendly and attentive. We had a room service meal which was first rate and... more

The front desk was not rude, but they were short and unacommodating when asked them to upgrade to a better view room. Advised they'd help upon arrival since we had 3 special occasions (birthday, anniversary and father's day) instead, wanted to charge $100 more for an upgrade. Already paid a lot. Whatever's mentioned on previous reviews - champagne, etc.. none... more

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in whilst in California. The room was huge (we upgraded to an ocean view), great balcony, nice area by the pool, amazing view, free parking. My overal feeling is that it was a bit expensive. Perhaps this was because the weather wasn't great when we were there, and so we couldn't hang... more

We stayed at the Harbor View Inn for 2 days earlier this month. We were in Santa Barbara for a wedding but unfortunately due to the fires the wedding moved to Santa Monica and we moved with it. The Harbor View is situated opposite the beach virtually by Stearns Wharf. It is a lovely setting with numerous restaurants close by.... more

Positives: Room was nicely decorated and very quiet. A double queen facing the mountains with a nice balcony. It was great to be close to the beach but if I ever visit again I'll stay in town. No need to pay that price for location. Most of our time was spent away from the hotel, visitng wineries, botanic garden, museums... more

I stayed there overnight once on a business trip and asked for a 5:00 AM wake up call which never came. This caused me to miss an appointment. When I complained to the front desk the General Manager was extremely rude and offensive, even in front of my daughter who was traveling with me. There was never any accountability -... more

This was my first time staying in Santa Barbara since I was a kid so I don't remember much about S.B. I used trip advisor and other resources to thoroughly research hotels. I found the Harbor View Inn to be the right match for location and price. Come on, what hotel right across the beach in California, much less in... more

Arrived late in Santa Barbara on a Saturday night with no accomodation booked and this was basically the first place we stumbled across. Had we known the rates beforehand (typically $300 - $400 at the weekend) we probably wouldn't have even gone inside. Luckily for us we had no idea and were delighted to be offered a room for just... more
