The front desk was not rude, but they were short and unacommodating when asked them to upgrade to a better view room. Advised they'd help upon arrival since we had 3 special occasions (birthday, anniversary and father's day) instead, wanted to charge $100 more for an upgrade. Already paid a lot. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in whilst in California. The room was huge (we upgraded to an ocean view), great balcony, nice area by the pool, amazing view, free parking. We stayed at the Harbor View Inn for 2 days earlier this month. We were in Santa Barbara for a wedding but unfortunately due to the fires the wedding moved to Santa Monica and we moved with it. Positives: Room was nicely decorated and very quiet. A double queen facing the mountains with a nice balcony. It was great to be close to the beach but if I ever visit again I'll stay in town.
