Highly recommended! Sadly, we had just one night stay at this Double Tree Resort because it was a great experience from beginning--the warm fresh cookies, being upgraded, very good reception staff and better than very good doormen/bellmen. The room was great--bathroom just average and without hand-held shower head, but the bed, the room with seating area, the view--just great, the... more

Right across from a GREAT sandy beach (none of that rocky nonesense characteristic of the Cali central coast). Hotel has lots of ammenities (laundry, fitness center, great concierge services, near trAder joes). Rooms were spacious and up todate. We had a garden view room, upgraded. We used our Hilton Honors points and felt it was definitely worth the 40,000 pts. more

We have stayed at this resort many times, as our daughter just graduated from UCSB. This stay was an extended family stay to celebrate and attend her graduation. The hotel (and town) were full, but one would never have known it because the service and food were exceptional as always. The grounds are beautiful, and we especially enjoy the view... more

The location couldn't be better. The grounds and facilities are very nice. The rooms are comfortable and roomy and nicely appointed, And the staff is professional and courteous. I like it that there is a coffee stand right in the lobby that makes a very good cappucino. Perhaps a little on the pricy side, but otherwise Fess Parker has it... more

When a reservation was made for the wrong date, this hotel would only change it if an extra day was added to the reservation. When the hotel discovered that the date could not be added, they determined that the original reservation with the wrong date would stand and the family would be charged the full rate even though they would... more

I am a Hilton Hhonors Gold member. I have stayed at many Hiltons and placed many reviews here at tripadvisor. This hotel was one of the Best I stayed at. It cost 40,000 points and worth it. Nice large rooms! Almost as good as the Hilton Waikaloa Village on the Big Island. One tip...Don't pay for parking. Simply have the... more

We have stayed at this Double Tree many times and we have always been impressed with the hotel. The location is fantastic, the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and the service is impeccable! We have been in several different rooms and have always been extremely comfortable; the decor is nice and the layout is always spacious. Regarding the... more

We spent three nights at the hotel and were more than pleased with the ocean view room. The concierge was helpful with restaurant options and directions. The buffet breakfast was good and the service was great. more

Fess Parker Resort is fabulously located but the "resort" has seen its' better days. The help is nice buit the facilities, food, amenities and rooms have passed their useful life. It is not a customer or family friendly facility. Room service is the ONLY OPTION for food. Don't even want a small bag of chips in the evening - not... more
