This is my second stay. The last was five years ago. My husband remembered the quiet location and given that we were in town for the 4th of July weekend... we wanted to be out of the fray of the strip. First the cons: 1. They really should have a continental breakfast because although the food quality is fine at... more

The rooms are large and the beds very firm, which I like. Breakfast service is exceptionally slow. The jacuzzi is a joke. This would be a good option for families - definitely not a romantic destination. Would recommend to a group on a budget. more

This was the second BW we stayed in on our recent trip to the west coast of the US. We were somewhat dissappointed on the whole, although the staff were friendly & the room was fine - albeit we had noisy neighbours (also there was constant noise from the adjacent building's fans) - it was relatively expensive. Notwithstanding the cost,... more

Having spent two weeks touring California, I can honestly say that this was the most disappointing and over-priced hotel we stayed in. Sure ,the rooms are large but with paper thin walls and little or no sound proofing, we could hear every word spoken by our neighbours who chose to arise at 5.30am in the morning ! The hotel is... more

One of the better Best Westerns, for sure. It's a good 20 minute walk away from the action on State Street and the opposite end of town from the beach, but it's a pleasant and cosy property set in a quiet residential area in the north end of town. We hadn't booked in advance so were lucky to get a... more

I'm afraid to write too glowing of a review - if this place gets too popular, I might not be able to book again! I stay here every April for a long weekend with my sisters. There are 3 of us, so we get one of the two bedroom suites/apartments for three nights. The staff is friendly, the rooms are... more

This is not your cute Santa Barbara B&B experience, but a good choice none the less as long as you know what you're getting. Nice property in nice residential area of SB, about a mile from the main downtown area. Rooms have a cottagey feel with some lace, etc. Great covered parking. Pool looked nice. more

I stayed at this hotel twice in the last month, each time for several days while I was visiting a medical clinic in Santa Barbara. The hotel is literally right across the street from Sansum Clinic & Cottage Hospital, and offers lodging discounts to patients. I like the fact that the hotel is in a quiet and safe residential area.... more

This is decent lodging. The room was clean, in good shape (mostly) and everything worked. I'd add this to my list of places to stay in Santa Barbara. 3 very minor issues as alluded to in other reviews. Yes the decor is kinda funky, but it seems to me the wallpaper in the dressing and bathroom areas needed replacing, all... more
