Our recent stay, April 8-14th was very nice. The Bw Pepper Tree is a great location, clean, quiet, good bed, nice grounds, great value for the price. Is nice and sunny most mornings as compared to the beach which can be foggy. Easy access to beach and wine country plus lower State Street. You do need to drive to get... More

We spent 2 days in Santa Barbara and chose the Best Western Pepper Tree Inn due to the good reviews on Trip Advisor and from friends and family members who stayed there previously. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the room comfortable and clean. We won't hesitate staying her again!

There were 18 of us on the bus from San Francisco. We were on our way to Palm Springs to see the Follie's Review. This was the most organized Motel/Inn I have ever stayed in. The rooms were immaculate. It had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and TWO luggage racks. Also, a bowl of fruit and a dish of candy.... More

Husband, 9 yr old son, and I stayed here for three nights, and overall we were very happy with the quality of the experience for the price. The grounds are beautiful (again, for the price point) and include two very nicely kept pools (one for each building). We enjoyed sitting on our balcony overlooking the pool and semi-tropical plantings, watching... More

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations-looking forward to staying in the new rooms. This hotel has easy access to the freeway - easy off and on! Very close to the beach - walking distance or 3 minute car ride. We had a room next to the train tracks and freeway - couldn't hear any noise. The train came by once... More

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights at the lovely Pepper Tree Inn. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet and nicely decorated. We had a small private patio that was perfect for reading and enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day. The motel's flowers and landscaping are gorgeous. The staff gave great advice about where... More

Planned to stay in Santa Barbara for alight but ended up staying two. Hotel was really comfortable. Large rooms with coffee maker and refrigerator. Wanted more coffee in the am and got extra from cleaning staff. Staff very helpful in staying over extra night. Close to downtown - nice to park in front of room.

Just returned from a week's stay at this lovely hotel. The staff was attentive and friendly. They even cleaned the cars' windshield nightly. The rooms and grounds were spotless. Robes, daily newspaper, and fresh fruit were provided in the room. We will stay here again, and will recommend it to all.

The Best Western Pepper Tree Inn is a good value for the Santa Barbara area. Overall a very nice experience for the nine days I was here - the grounds are nicely kept and the property has a very California vibe. Not on the busiest part of State Street, but close and convenient to excellent shopping and dining choices.

Lovely hotel with 2 outdoor pools (one is heated) and 2 hot tubs. We had a good sized room on the 2nd floor - there is no lift. Free wifi, coffee, fruit. A really relaxing spot, in a perfect location for the freeway. We only stayed 1 night but really wished we could have stayed longer.
