Santa Barbara motels/hotels are all way over priced. Stayed at the pepper Tree Inn as we usually stay in a Best Western . Place was clean and quiet but was a way older facility. Coffee in the room but not even a continental breakfast for $160 a night. We were 5 miles from the beach and on a noisy street... More

I cancelled a previous hotel booking and stayed here. I am so glad i did. What a lovely place. Excellent location. On main road but not affected by noise. Good public transport. Pretty, efficient, clean modern rooms although a tad smaller than some. Luxury toiletries. Fluffy bathrobes. Fresh fruit and bottled water in room each day.2nd floor room 337. Pretty pool... More

The hotel is far from tha city center and best restaurants. However, by car, you can go to the Hendry's Beach, which has a beautiful sea and a nice walk in the sand. The hotel is old and does not offer breakfast. But, it has a beautiful suimming pool and leisure area very well structured. More

My mom and I stayed here for three days on a recent trip to California, and we were very impressed. The room was lovely, with a sliding door out to a private patio with table and chairs, which continues out to the pool and hot tub. The room was spacious and very clean, the beds were really comfy, and the... More

We were welcomed in our room with honeymoon celebration banners, champagne and chocolates! The team were so kind and helpful throughout, nothing was too much trouble. Ok the decor is a little dated, but we found the place very comfortable and got a couple of really good nights sleep. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub, complimentary coffee and fruit in... More

I have been here numerous times on business, and this is one of my favorites hotels. Although rooms are old style, they are nice, roomy, and cozy, with nice balconies, and comfortable beds. Staff is outstanding - always courteous and helpful. Grounds are clean and well kept. Highly recommended. More

The hotel was very nice....clean, well kept. It is a little on the older side and could probably use some updating, especially the bathrooms. The overall grounds were very well maintained. The staff was very friendly. Overall we had a nice stay. The hotel was a little on the pricey side, but that seems to be consistent with the Santa... More

We are here now, going up the coast to morro bay. I think this is a very nice stop. A Little pricey 144.00 for a nice king room overlooking tHe pool. Very quiet, clean and tidy. Comp fruit, water and usa today. We will go to the museum today for the Monet exihibit. This is on state street, main drag to... More

Santa Barbara is a pricey place for visitors - and the major chains have not landed in force yet - so we were pleased to find the Pepper Tree Inn available for a college visit - at $184 for a queen and a sofa bed - older property, but some surprises - Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries, fruit and coffee in...
