The Inn was perfect for our vacation. We stayed first in The Mad Hatter room , which was lovely and very comfortable. When we extended our stay, due to the closed airport because of a snow storm, Connie found us another room for the extra 2 nights. We moved across the hall to The White Rabbit room, which was just... As Canadian "snowbirds" we like to visit Santa Barbara year after year to enjoy its winter warmth and many attractions. We always stay at the Cheshire Cat Inn because it offers top accommodation in a beautiful setting, great service by friendly and knowledgeable Innkeepers/personnel, gourmet breakfasts and a generous Happy Hour where you can exchange experiences with other guests. We... More

This B&B is fabulously located within walking distance of the new Public Market and Santa Barbara's Main Street, with all its shopping and restaurants. The rooms vary in comfort and tend to be a bit small, but the hostesses are friendly and knowledgable and the breakfast/evening snacks are excellent.

Lovely little place, sweet gardens with fruit trees and cute room (we had queen of hearts, good bed but small bathroom, nice seating area though). Nice wine and cheese hour in the main house with devilled eggs (yum!) and short walk into town for dinner. Nice first stop, we'd return.

Rooms in Santa Barbara can be really pricey, and this is a great option if you're looking for an alternative to the typical hotel experience. They are in a great location right off State St. and within easy walking distance to a wide variety of shopping and restaurants. The property is very nicely maintained, and breakfast was delicious the next... More

The cottages offered at the Cheshire Cat are roomy enough for 4 but were ideal for a private getaway for 2 as well. When we wanted the company of others we stepped across the street to the main house for evening wine and delicious appetizers or for a wonderful morning breakfast. Otherwise, the cottage provided a lovely quiet setting for... More

We stayed one night at the Cheshire Cat as part of our drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles via the PCH 1. Our room was perfect with both a fireplace and in room jacuzzi for two. The staff could not do enough to ensure you had everything you needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay and we enjoyed pleasant... More

I say lively because we were able to meet some charming people who we had great conversation with. Yet peaceful because we chose to be in the Tweedledum suite for our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. The room was more than a room it was actually several which afforded us privacy from any kind of noises and large enough to spread... More

A terrific location, great choice of rooms (if you book far enough in advance) and really good breakfasts make this an excellent choice for a Santa Barbara visit. Off-street parking is a plus, as is walking distance to State Street and some excellent restaurants. We did not avail ourselves of the wine and appetizer hour, but judging by everything else,... Stayed 3 nights at the Cheshire. Everything was perfect. Our corner room had tons of windows, the afternoon "happy hour" was so delicious that we had to force ourselves to stop eating to not ruin dinner. Breakfast was fresh cooked and delicious. The courtyard and gazebo were comfortable and quiet. Easy to walk to the main business and restaurant area.... More
