we had a very nice time at this b&b,food was good, wine was fine, only complaint was the room was noisy from the street traffic, but i fixed that i bought ear plugs and went to sleep.i would certainly stay again. looking at there calendar it will be some time, for its all booked up,that in itself tells the story of those that... My husband and I returned to the Cheshire Cat Inn for a second stay in March; repeating the experience we enjoyed there a year ago. We were greeted by the same consistent staff. Every evening we enjoyed wine and cheese in the main house sitting room by the fireplace, and enjoyed meeting other guests. By luck we reconnected with a... More

We stayed one night here on our first visit to Santa Barbara. We had a cottage across the road from the main Inn. What lovely buildings! Our cottage was more homely and simply furnished than the main house but still very comfortable. Great bed! Good breakfast in the morning, although we'd have loved something cooked. However, the fresh bagels, smoked... More

When you choose a B&B rather than a hotel for a weekend in Santa Barbara, you expect you'll find a pleasant, quiet and comfortable room, with some charm and a nice breakfast. This operation delivered only one of these, a nice breakfast. The room was so tiny and uncomfortable, it seemed to have been designed for a small child as... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review of the March Hare room. We are very unhappy when we do not please our guests and wish that we had had another room that we could have offered you. We have designed our website to include photos which adequately depict each room in detail as well as siting our central location just... More

Lovely friendly hospitable hosts and charming old world accommodation. Comfortable beds , home cooked breakfasts and pretty suburban location . Easy to walk downtown and enjoy what Santa Barbara has to offer.

Never having been to Santa Barbara, our first stop was The Cheshire Cat. My husband I prefer a B&B to a hotel. This was the best B&B we have ever been to. Charming, clean and friendly folks. From 5-6 every night they served Santa Barbara wine and delicious appetizers. Breakfast was gourmet. If there was a 10 star rating, that... More

Meticulously maintained, the Inn is a collection of several buildings which offer multiple options for singles, couples and families, including 2 bedroom bungalows. It is located one block from State Street (the main street in town) and offers off street parking. The staff is professional and in addition to cocktail hour, buffet breakfast is served outdoors. The theme is, obviously,... More

This place is charming and has the best breakfast of any bed and breakfast I've stayed at. I enjoy b&bs for the opportunity to meet new people and share same interests. My daughter and I have stayed here many times on a mother/daughter get away and have always been very pleased.

This bed and breakfat was just amazing. The rooms are all unique and adorable. The pictures on their website are 100% accurate. We stayed in the Caterpillar Suite, and oh my god it is beautiful. There is so much natural light and the private balcony was wonderful to relax on and watch the sunset. The wine and hors devours hour... More

We highly recommend this B&B in Santa Barbara. We stayed for a birthday celebration and were very glad my husband selected the Cheshire Cat as a surprise get away. We were welcomed nicely and shown around the property, which includes a lovely garden area with several sitting sections. We were treated to a small bottle of wine and chocolates to... More
