Dear Stretch J, We appreciate the positive review of our clean rooms, location, and friendly staff members. For the comfort of our guests, we do provide all train station information online and by phone as we understand this is not for everyone. We are happy to assign our quieter rooms for guests who inquire before arrival. Thank you for the... More

This is a great little hotel for a short visit to Santa Barbara. It's just a five minute walk to the beach, wineries, great restaurants, and pretty much anywhere else you'd want to go downtown. I like that most of downtown Santa Barbara keeps the original Spanish architecture, and this hotel is no exception - they've really done an amazing... More

Dear sudobuntu, Thank you for leaving such detailed and valuable feedback on your stay with us. We are happy to hear you enjoyed our modern, compact rooms and were able to make good use of your private patio room. The lower State Street area is indeed going through a revamp, but we are excited for the updates to be completed... More

The hotel was walking distance from a lot of great things in town. The rooms are small and NOT suited for families. I couldn't imagine bringing children. Their "lift" for suitcases was broken so please note if you have a large suitcase you will have to lug it up a lot of stairs. The rooms were laid out very cool,... More

Dear Susan, Thank you for taking the time to provide positive feedback regarding Hotel Indigo’s central location and modern room design! Our front desk associates and bell staff are available 24 hours and are eager to assist with luggage; I do apologize this service was not utilized and hope to assist in the future. We appreciate the mention of the... More

This is basically a cheap hotel with that has had a marble lobby and a few other frills added and the prices raised accordingly. The rooms are tiny and cramped. The bathrooms even tinier: for example, the toilet and shower are in the the same tiny space, so that it is literally impossible for more than one person to use... More

Dear Scott S, I appreciate your feedback and am sorry to read you did not enjoy your stay with us at Hotel Indigo. Our historical building is from the early 1900s and contributes to the many unique quirks of the modern design completed in 2012, one of them being the compact room size and European bathroom. Embracing this size has... More

Small hotel rooms in an old brick building are cleverly fitted with well-designed multitasking furnishings. Quality tile work and good design make the Pullman bath a pleasure. The second floor has a library, art gallery, and two decks. Step out to explore the Funk Zone.

Just another over priced motel close to the harbor. More like a designer hostel than a boutique hotel. Check the square footage of the rooms before you book. Camp Curry tents are larger, and the bathrooms are microscopic, made for yoga teachers. The property is tiny so to make it pencil, they crammed in rooms, sacrificing even an elevator. Have... More

My husband and I stayed here for a night during our 3 week honeymoon along the west coast. Firstly, the hotel itself is in a fantastic location- easy parking and walking distance to the lovely beach. Unfortunately, our room was facing the railway which was incredibly noisy. The staff however, were very helpful and did move us to a quieter... More

Staff were great. Room facing State Street so some noise from the revelers. Room was as expected (small, shower set-up, nice bed) from other reviews. Close to plenty of the action. Snacks (cheese and crackers) in the evening. Parking was free on our night

We stayed here for one night on our road trip between San Francisco and Palm Springs. Having stayed in sister IHG properties, namely Holiday Inn Expresses the previous two nights we saw this as an opportunity to upgrade before arriving in Palm Springs. It's a modern boutique hotel, with trendy furniture and features in communal areas such as a vertical... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here on a weekend away in Santa Barbara. It was perfect. The staff was so nice and so accommodating. The rates were reasonable. And everything was clean, stylish, and modern. Also, don't be scared away by its close proximity to the train station. I didn't hear the trains at all and they provide guests with... More
