Cute hotel - small rooms but nicely laid out. It's been cold here recently and they have wall heating units. So I'm guessing that if no one had stayed in this room for the last day or so, there's been no heat on. Checked in & turned the heating unit on full blast about 35 minutes ago - and I'm... More

Dear jaynehartley, Thank you for leaving us a review! We are terribly sorry to hear that your room was cold. It does tend to get awfully chilly in Santa Barbara in the evenings, and if no one is in the room, there is no way for the heater to run. However, we can always offer extra blankets to our guests.... This place is really clean and has a Great staff they could not do enough for you and always a smile and greeting. Our room was a little small but very comfortable and clean reminds you of being in Europe.

Nice contemporary hotel, very clean and everything looks brand new. The rooms and bathrooms are very small but they have nice amenities and as long as you are out about the town you won't care about the small rooms. Location is great: Less than 5 minute walk to the pier Less than 5 minute walk to the "Funk Zone" Less... More

I stay at the Indigo whenever I am in Santa Barbara. Occasionally I try other hotels, but I keep coming back. I was suspicious of the "ecotel" label anticipating it to mean "small, cramped, cheap. I was pleasantly surprised to find something else. The hotel has a nice quiet feel to it without being pretentious. The rooms are small but... More

Affordable hotel on State Street. Great service, but the rooms are way too small for more than 1 person. We book for 5 nights and stayed 2, as we had a dog and there was no way the three of us could have lasted that long. The staff were apologetic and very accommodating. If you stay, always get a patio... More

Front desk staff were nice enough but manager was not very accommodating for a practical request. We stayed here for a few nights in the last two weeks. Our first nights stay was in a really cramped space. The other nights were in a little more breathable room. The rooms are clean at least. The ongoing construction next door and... More

My wife and I drove to Santa Barbara from LA for the day/night to wine taste in the funk zone. Very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo. Could not have asked for a better hotel. Good location. The bathroom felt bigger than the bedroom. Poor lighting in bathroom. No shelves for items. Fan in bathroom ran continuously when the one light switch was on. Sterile feeling. Bedroom cramped. Open closet with no door or covering. Only one small drawer for clothes. Lightening not the best. At night, light from hallway seeped under and around door.... More

Minimal luxury with a quirky vibe. We got a last minute patio room on the first floor. The bathroom was tiny yet surprisingly functional. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. We will stay here again and again!

With two weeks to spend driving the Pacific Coast Highway, having no firm itinerary, we stopped for the evening in Santa Barbara and were pleased to find accommodation at Hotel Indigo.
