Perfect Location, I enjoy staying here when I am in town for business. There is a train that rumbles through for an early wake up. Also construction next door really prevented a good nights rest. Also went down a star due to every time I stay I get what looks like a statement for double the charge. I always have... More

I used to live in Santa Barbara and am familiar with the area and hotels, but this was a new hotel for me so we decided to try it based on the corporate rate we obtained and the proximity to the harbor and the rest of State Street. The location is great in the fact that you can easily walk... More

Stayed here as we drove up the coast. Great location. Just off the water. Cool, clean, crisp inside. Small rooms, but cool, interesting and a great use of space. We had an outdoor patio, too. Pricey, but they all are here. Close to the funk zone. You won't be disappointed.

This hotel has a great location - super close to the beach, right on State Street, right next to the train station and right near the "Funk Zone," where you can find tons of wine tasting rooms, great restaurants and nice shops off the beaten path. The rooms are definitely tiny as many have noted but if you are not... More

The rooms are clean and modern with an urban style, but really too small, the window blinds doesn't block the light, so you're up really early and it's really noisy inside the hotel and outside. The train is passing just behind the building and there's some constructions all around, but the hotel gives you some earplugs ! The style is... More

Where do I begin... The pros: The staff was wonderful for the most part, the rooms were clean (yes, we sampled more than one). The restaurant "Nuance" had delicious food, if a bit pricey. The cons: The rooms are extremely small. We had a king bed, which pretty much filled the entire room. The only spot where the suitcase rack... More

This is a great little hotel for a short visit to Santa Barbara. It's just a five minute walk to the beach, wineries, great restaurants, and pretty much anywhere else you'd want to go downtown. I like that most of downtown Santa Barbara keeps the original Spanish architecture, and this hotel is no exception - they've really done an amazing... More

The hotel was walking distance from a lot of great things in town. The rooms are small and NOT suited for families. I couldn't imagine bringing children. Their "lift" for suitcases was broken so please note if you have a large suitcase you will have to lug it up a lot of stairs. The rooms were laid out very cool,... More

This is basically a cheap hotel with that has had a marble lobby and a few other frills added and the prices raised accordingly. The rooms are tiny and cramped. The bathrooms even tinier: for example, the toilet and shower are in the the same tiny space, so that it is literally impossible for more than one person to use... More

Dear Scott S, I appreciate your feedback and am sorry to read you did not enjoy your stay with us at Hotel Indigo. Our historical building is from the early 1900s and contributes to the many unique quirks of the modern design completed in 2012, one of them being the compact room size and European bathroom. Embracing this size has... More
