I find it really hard to believe all of the negative reviews when we had such an enjoyable stay here. Spent 2 nights here and it was just lovely. Room was nice and spacious. Internet was reasonable. This IS Santa Barbara after all, so we were expected high hotel rates and compared to the other options in this area we... More

Location:Awesome Rooms: Clean and Fantastic View of the ocean Staff: Indifferent and Cold Valet Parking People: Simply Bad, They kept telling us that we need to pay $26 for overnight parking, every time we came in and out of the hotel. They must have repeated that message at least 13 times and that is irritating, if you just paid $600... More

Hello, thank you very kindly for this feedback. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed a fantastic ocean view and that you found the guestroom to be clean, and I agree, our location is awesome. I am troubled to learn that our valet team left this negative impression on you and I will be working directly with our valet manager... More

We arrived to be greeted with "this is valet parking only sir if you don't wish to pay $50 per day then you can park on the street" nice when they had an empty car park and the street was full each day. Then when we got to our room (not taken, told were and handed the card) we thought... More

Thank you so very much for taking the time to post this review. I am so sorry to read that you were greeted with a cold opening remark from our valet team member and on top of that given the incorrect price. I have met with our valet manager to address this as it is certainly not acceptable, let alone... More

Thank you for your time and feedback, I appreciate your review even though it shows that you were highly disappointed. It is disheartening that your experience left you with such negative feelings and that we, as a team, were unable to address any of your concerns while you were on property. We are listening, and take your comments very seriously... More

We used the free room (category 1 thru 4) that you get every year when you have the Hyatt Visa Credit Card - we then upgraded to a bigger room with an ocean view for $68. There was plenty of free parking on the street that is behind the Hyatt (no need to valet unless all of the street parking... More

I am a frequent guest of the Hyatt chain. Overall, experiences range from good to exceptional. At most locations, staff goes out of their way to accommodate loyal guests and the rooms and amenities are great for their respective price points. Complimentary or discounted upgrades are a frequent occurrence. Not so at the Santa Barbara Hyatt. At $300/night for a... More

Great rooms and wonderful staff on call 24 hours a day to make your stay a special one. A place to enjoy being with family and friends. At night you can gather around the pool with the fire burning and have a few drinks and enjoy the warm evening.Santa Barbra is great for shopping and wonderful food choices.

Upon arriving in our room, there was a baby crib and a microwave - both items are ones you need to request and we requested neither. The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned - kleenex pieces on the sink and fingerprint smudges on the magnifying mirror - both of which were not cleaned on our second day there either. Coffee maker... Thank you for your feedback, we use this and all feedback to improve our operation. I'm disappointed that you were checked into a room that was prepared for another guest, my assumption would be that we inconvenienced both you and the guest for whom the room was ready. Thank you for alerting me to the coffee maker, it was removed... More

At check in we were 'greeted' in a rather superficial manner. In addition, my wife noticed a sign on the front desk about the extreme drought. On asking whether the hotel operated similar water saving options in its bedroom laundering services to those we had seen in Hilton, Intercontinental and Best Western Plus Hotels, we were told by the receptionist... Do not stay here. ,old, ugly decor. Desperate need of renovation. We had no soap for three days. Had to use shampoo as a liquid soap. The rugs are so stained and old, it made the place dismal. Th ocean view provided a small glimpse,of blue.

Thank you for this feedback. I’m so sorry that you felt that out hotel was visually unappealing, but what I am really disappointed in is the fact that we did not replenish your shampoo for three days – We will continue training with our housekeeping attendants to focus on these key areas. I understand it is not your job to... More
