I actually used to work here on the banquets staff when it was the Hotel Mar Monte and it was amazing then. Now that they have renamed to the Hyatt they receive the flag recognition as well. Beautiful rooms, view and the bistro 1111 is great.

I first stayed at this hotel in 2014 and didn't have the best experience, however, the management got in touch after I emailed them and offered me a return stay in an upgraded room at a great rate. I came back earlier this year and had a fantastic time. The staff were wonderful and as I was traveling alone with... More

First off, I'm a big fan of Hyatt. Currently a Platinum member, but soon to be a Diamond member by the end of next month! This was my worst experience at a Hyatt location. For at Category 4 Hyatt location, this was definitely not what I was expecting. The room I was staying in was very sectioned off from the... More

The staff and location are terrific for this former Radisson. It just doesn't feel like a Hyatt. It needs a refresh to keep up with other properties at this price point. Room service is terrific and well-priced.

I've never written a review before, but as a public service I feel I must support the other concerns voiced here to hopefully save others from the same misfortune. I wish I had read the TripAdvisor reviews before staying at the Hyatt! The bottom line with this hotel is that the owners have taken an old, dumpy hotel and haven't... More

Just returned from a three night stay. Old yes, but it is refreshing to stay at a hotel that isn't the standard hotel chain cookie cutter properties. Don't go in with the expectations of a shiny new hotel. Instead enjoy the history and quirkiness of a fun place that has been around for nearly 100 years. My stay was enhanced... More

When you stay at this historic property just steps from the beach, the ambience transports you back in time to old Santa Barbara. While the renovation is not quite complete, it will add charm and functionality to an already lovely property. I look forward to returning to enjoy the renovations and improvements on my next visit.

not as good as a Hyatt should be. The room was large, renovated, and clean and comfortable. Our view was of the Motel 6 across the way. So our balcony was unusable because of the noise from the motel and the parking lot. AC was a very loud window unit. Nice location across the street from the beach, but the... More

I booked our room months ago. Then i saw the reviews getting poorer so i called the hotel direct. I spoke with Denver and he said that the hotel was getting some renovations but promised me a ocean view balcony room in the main building but as far from any renovation noise as possible. So i didn't cancel. What a... More
