I spent the first night in a room with noise that continued unabated throughout the night, thus was unable to sleep. The next day I went to the front desk and they which room I was in. When I told them they explained there was constructions and it was noise from pipes. They were great about moving me but I... More

We, meaning myself, my wife, and 3 year old, stayed here in late April. We had a blast, but most of that was due to Santa Barbara being a really neat town to visit, not so much due to the Hyatt. Check in was fine, but not the friendliest. They did recognize my wife's Platinum status, but there was no... More

Nice hotel. Little bit away from the main strip (State Street), about 30 minutes walk... but the beach is right across street from the hotel and the zoo is right next to the hotel. For a nice relaxing getaway, this hotel will be the one. I'm here for the business.... since only one night stay, I have no complaint about... More

Stayed just one night to see a show at the Santa Barbara Bowl. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable! Love the location and would stay there again! It was nice to be able to park on the street to avoid paying the $24 parking charge per day!

For a hotel charging upwards of $500/night, I would expect exemplary customer service - unfortunately this was not the case. Arrived with a long wait at valet and check in. My room was not in the main hotel, but in one of the "side buildings" (or "pet building" as one reviewer said). It was slightly better than the typical old... More

Hello MochiShiro, thank you for taking the time to leave this very thoughtful review on TripAdvisor. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience that occurred on the night that you returned from dinner. We certainly remember this evening as it was indeed very busy with the large group departing. As well, we understand your frustration regarding the parking charge... More

I booked this stay for a fun weekend for 3 adult women. Upon our arrival we learned that the hotel only had valet parking and it cost $26 per night. We had arranged to bring a little chihuahua and they accommodated us by charging an additional $50 per night. And said we would be staying in the "pet buildlng." Unbeknown... More

Hello ylc515, thank you for taking the time to write this review, we appreciate your feedback and value your business. Our goal is to be completely transparent with our costs and as such all of our booking sites do explain valet parking fees and additional fees for pets (to remove allergens). We are sorry that you were not aware of... More

The overall facility (hallways and common room) are tired and need updating. The adjunct building is awful - strobe lights blink as part of the smoke detector system and you're provided with earplugs for the passing trains and traffic. There's no rate adjustment for this part of the hotel. Nor is it disclosed that you'll be staying there. Also, housekeeping... More

Good Day and thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. The room that you stayed in has just been renovated and as a result we have learned through guest feedback that the flashing light is bothersome. It’s our assumption that this wasn’t caught during the construction process because the lights were always on and it wasn’t apparent until the... More

Excellent views, wonderful room, friendly staff. Some updating needed - AC unit noisy and difficult to control. Check-in delay seemed excessive but room was excellent. Charge for parking but adjacent free street parking easily accessed.

Maid knocked on the door one day early--8 15!! to service room. I had to turn them away. When they did come back, they took a sealed-up dish of chips with the room service tray, and left the salsa and guac in their sealed up cups. We had planned on eating them later, so that was annoying. The workout room... More

Comparable to a Holiday Inn from the 70's. In good condition but poorly laid out. The rooms use window air conditioners that sound like old jet engines. The rooms are stocked with ear plugs but you really need a high quality noise canceling headset if you want to sleep.

Hello Pamela, we have read your feedback and thank you for participating on tripadvisor, we truly value your thoughts. We’d like to thank you for recognizing our efforts in maintaining the facility in good condition as this along with great service is certainly within our daily control. The layout unfortunately is something that have little influence over and is a... More
