Clean bed - but apparently a single even though I had booked a double for two people. Also got given a disabled room even though I had not specified any disability during booking. Found two long dark hairs in the folds of our towels. Friendly reception staff. Loads of food places within walking distance. Lots of parking. Good wifi. A... More

The location of this motel 6 was nice. There are many restaurants around and a grocery store around the corner. It is on State street, but it would be about a hour walk to get down to the happening downtown location. I was shocked to see a pool that was nicely maintained at a motel 6. I don't really stay... This was the best Motel 6 I have ever stayed at, a fine example of the latest in budget hotels. The floors are clean (no carpeting to attract dust and vermin), and all the little amenities are first-rate (like the light switches within reach of each side of the king-size bed). The small bathroom has a door to close it... More

Firstly, the motel is basic however that being said it is still comfortable and for that cheap price what can you expect?! The staff were superb. I agree with an earlier review that staff are efficient yet friendly and make you feel special and welcome. I would 100% recommend this hotel to friends and family with the caveat that they... More

I am fully aware of the not so stellar ratings and reviews but proceeded to book with this establishment solely because other hotels in this area (near the harbor area anyway) mostly require a minimum 2 nights stay on a weekend during summer season. My group needed to be staying close to the harbor as we had to wake up... More

My first impression of our room was not great. There were two burn holes in the comforter and another one in a built-in faux leather sofa chair. There was no carpet, which seemed odd but came in handy if we tracked in sand from the beach. Don't stay here if you expect privacy; the bathroom door is basically a flimsy... More

We lived on the first floor. That was poor, but some friends of our lived got a room on the ground level, and they could not stay there because of humidity, so they moved to another place. Staff was not very friendly at first. It got better.

Had a first floor double room which was very small with no storage space. There's a half table under the TV with two chairs and in the bathroom are two shelves and two coat racks with hangers. The beds were a little hard but didn't wake up with a backache. We didn't even use the luggage rack for our carry-on... More

Spend a night on Motel 6, State Street again. Have been there before and will definitely come back. It's just a nice experience - everything works, is clean, the lady at the reception is so welcoming, gives you all the right information in a quick and polite manner, and at the same time makes you feel you're a special guest... Passed through Santa Barbara 11-2-2013 (Halloween weekend) and tried to get a Hotel, but everything was sold out. Stopped by at the Motel 6 (not necessarily my first choice) and they had one room left, so I took it... And guess what... The room was niiiiice. Newly renovated with hardwood floor, nice clean bathroom and also the Lady at the... More
