I decided to stay here on a whim. Almost feels like a middle class mobile home park. It was a quiet, that was plus. The room is furnished with ikea furniture. Bed sits low, fyi for people who may have issues rising from a lower position. The bed frame attacks shins too so be careful. On top of the dresser... More

This was our second stay here and for the price, it is an excellent choice in Santa Barbara! Well located near shops, restaurants, a local music store and a unique Thai restaurant that makes its own ice cream, the rooms are updated (mostly) and spacious with two pools and a fifties themed breakfast room. Free DVDs in the lobby and... More

All aspects of the hotel are OKsh. Room is big, clean & comfortable. Bed is OK. Shower is american standard, OK. Breakfast included and very good!! Staff very helpful Quite far from the city center; you will need a car to come and go. If you are looking for a good stay and good price, highly recommeded then.

This motel was clean. For your money, you get a good size room. There are a few restaurants within walking distance but many seemed to close early. Possibly because we were out of season. Breakfast was your typical continental style in the dinner on site. For a reasonably priced, no frills venue, this his the spot.

This motel is living up to its hype: a real price find in a very expensive area. Landscaping was very well done. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room & bath: everything functioned well & the newer double windows made for quiet sleeping. The central pool (of 2) was uncrowded on our visit & closed at 10pm. The... More

We have stayed at the Sandman Inn a number of times and have enjoyed the place each time. The hotel is old but well kept and clean. The pool area is very nice and provides a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast room is very nice and provides a good selection of foods for breakfast. The lady who works in the breakfast... More

I struggled to find something affordable last minute in Santa Barbara during a road trip up Cali. The short story: I would book elsewhere. The place was decent for a two day stay - area isn't downtown but has close quick fixes as far as restaurants and what not. Staff was friendly, place was quiet and seemed clean... Honestly I... We stayed at the Sandman Inn for one night as the 3rd stop of our Vegas to San Francisco road trip , it's a great motel , a little way out of the town & beach but on State street so only a 5 minute drive, very nice property & a great price for Santa Barbara , our room was... More

Good room and good hotel for the price we payed. Breakfast is well served and has a big variety of food. Room is clean and enough. Comfortable beds and big parking lots. A little far from the city center, but if you have a car, you're good.
