We spent two nights in the Hotel in May 2013 and I remember, it was one of the cheapest Hotels in Santa Barbara with a good review on Tripadvisor ;) The rooms are clean, the beds very comfortable. Nothing special, it´s a bit poorly soundproofed, but with earplugs it was no problem as there weren´t so many loud guests. The... More

There are nice hotels in SB that are close to the beach and are expensive, and then there are cheaper hotels further inland. This place has kind of a run down 50's type of vibe to it. Not complaining- it was inexpensive and there was breakfast included, good wifi, and a couple of small swimming pools, It was clean and... More

I am not real picky about motels as long as they are clean. This one gave me pause. The shower/tub was not as clean looking as I would like. Worse, THERE WAS NO TOP SHEET on our bed. I called for one and they brought it about forty minutes later. Tired and ready for bed already!!! The grand kids were... More

This motel is on really pretty grounds and has two lovely, clean pools. When researching accommodation in Santa Barbara I realised pretty quickly that our budget wasn't going to stretch to a hotel within an easy walk of the beach or downtown. So, while the Sandmann Inn is situated on State Street, Santa Barbara's main drag, it is still a... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night in June 2014. The check-in process was good. A very courteous gentleman did our check-in and offered various room choices to pick one from. He was also helpful in suggesting dinning places in the neighborhood as well as downtown since we asked him being new to the area. The room condition is... More

Our room was beside the pool and was spacious and clean. The setting was lovely and relaxing after our long trip from the UK. Fridge and coffee making facilities in room and bottles of water were supplied. There was a dining table and chairs and comfy bed. Breakfast was adequate, but dining room a bit basic.

A budget Inn located far away from beach and town, a value stay considering expensive hotel rate in Santa Barbara. Room was big, but with dated furniture & not very clean, air conditioning was noisy and smelly air blown out, so we ended up turning on the fan instead. Breakfast was decent & basic, wifi were dead & slow. We... More

Don't profess to be anything more than a budget motel, and it does what it said on the tin. Bit of hassle on check in try to move to a room on a higher floor, but they sorted it at the second attempt. A little noisy but great value for the money. Breakfast room is a bit of a free... More

A large room, clean, comfortable bed - but a noisy clunky airconditioner. We didn’t get a decent sleep. There is also an overhead fan but it didn’t work in our room. Poor lighting in the room. The bathroom is old and needs renovation. The breakfast was better than average however the breakfast room was small and crowded. The price is... More

The rooms were clean and functional. But if you want a better experience, take rooms which are not on the ground floor. we could hear footsteps in the morning from the room above us.The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. Overall a nice place to stop in
