What a beautiful house. It makes you feel at home! Nice atmosphere, fresh decoration, pastries or something homemade at the kitchen whenever you want, with an open patio for having breakfast outside...it was perfect! And Dominique, the owner, was an amazing and helpful woman, giving us all the info we need to have a fantastic day there. We wish to... More

Our every request was addressed on a timely basis. This B and B was quiet and scenic. The owner takes pride in her business and it shows. She was very knowledgable about the area and guided us to the best restaurants and wineries.

We came up for a concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl and had been looking to try a B&B - what a treasure the Secret Garden is. We stayed in "Cardinal" room with its great bed (queen), sweet seating room and IMMACULATE bathroom. We loved the evening reception in the back garden with wine & cheese, on our visit Shelby... More

We have stayed here many times over the past 15+ years but the last few times have been very disappointing, and sadly our most recent weekend visit was just horrible. I hesitate to post negative things but in this case, with so many options in Santa Barbara, I do not recommend this place. The clutter and dust all over have... More

The french lady that was hosting us were extremely helpful and welcoming, she really wanted us to feel at home. The style of the house reminded us both of the "home of a grandmother", it has a special and homely look to it. We got a very good and freshly prepared breakfast. Fried eggs, newly baked scones and bread :)

My husband and I spent 3 nights at The Secret Garden Inn. It was a cozy, beautiful setting with the rooms or cottages surrounded by a wonderful garden. The rooms were all different and had old fashioned character and charm. The breakfasts were different each morning and the owner went out of her way to accommodate diet restrictions. There were... This was our first BB we have ever stayed in and with mixed feelings. We were in town for our daughters wedding and used the 2bdrm house as a gathering point. We first stayed in a unit that was about the size of a studio and that was too small for us. Then we moved to the 2bdrm house and... More

Santa Barbara is expensive on summer weekends... if booked early enough, this B&B is a good budget option. Pros: Cute property, quiet, 20 minute walk to heart of State St, yummy breakfast, wine & cheese happy hour, good water pressure, large rooms, air conditioning (although it's loud) Cons: Mosquitoes :( mattress is extremely hard, and bedding needs updating

We had an amazing stay at the Secret Garden Inn! Great location close to downtown, secluded rooms so you don't have the typical bed and breakfast feel. Private Hot Tubs, wine and cheese at 5pm and your in Santa Barbara right! Most comfy feather bed I've slept on in quite a while and did I mention, your own hot tub!... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden Inn immensely. We were looking for a relaxing atmosphere and found the perfect place. We stayed in the romantic Oriole Cottage which was quite charming with a private deck and hot tub. The inn is located in a residential area several blocks from the downtown shopping and dining mecca of State Street.... More
