my wife and I just came back from a 3 day trip to Santa Barbera, we stayed at the secret Garden, it was our first time, we enjoyed every minute of it due to the hospitality and the special care that we received . we had every morning a full breakfast to order prepared to us by a beautiful young... We liked our room and the private patio area in front of the room. I cannot comment on breakfast as it wasn't served before we had to leave at 8am. The owner was friendly the evening before as we shared a taste of wine with her in the kitchen. The grounds could use a little more upkeep and there were... More

We really enjoyed this Inn - we had one of the small rooms in a side cottage. Very cute, and the private hot tub was wonderful! The breakfast was delicious - good coffee, tasty egg casserole, pastries and other baked treats and fresh fruit. The brownies in the evening were addicting. We were sorry to miss the happy hours! We... More

What a beautiful house. It makes you feel at home! Nice atmosphere, fresh decoration, pastries or something homemade at the kitchen whenever you want, with an open patio for having breakfast outside...it was perfect! And Dominique, the owner, was an amazing and helpful woman, giving us all the info we need to have a fantastic day there. We wish to... More

Our every request was addressed on a timely basis. This B and B was quiet and scenic. The owner takes pride in her business and it shows. She was very knowledgable about the area and guided us to the best restaurants and wineries.

We came up for a concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl and had been looking to try a B&B - what a treasure the Secret Garden is. We stayed in "Cardinal" room with its great bed (queen), sweet seating room and IMMACULATE bathroom. We loved the evening reception in the back garden with wine & cheese, on our visit Shelby... More

We have stayed here many times over the past 15+ years but the last few times have been very disappointing, and sadly our most recent weekend visit was just horrible. I hesitate to post negative things but in this case, with so many options in Santa Barbara, I do not recommend this place. The clutter and dust all over have... More

The french lady that was hosting us were extremely helpful and welcoming, she really wanted us to feel at home. The style of the house reminded us both of the "home of a grandmother", it has a special and homely look to it. We got a very good and freshly prepared breakfast. Fried eggs, newly baked scones and bread :)

My husband and I spent 3 nights at The Secret Garden Inn. It was a cozy, beautiful setting with the rooms or cottages surrounded by a wonderful garden. The rooms were all different and had old fashioned character and charm. The breakfasts were different each morning and the owner went out of her way to accommodate diet restrictions. There were... This was our first BB we have ever stayed in and with mixed feelings. We were in town for our daughters wedding and used the 2bdrm house as a gathering point. We first stayed in a unit that was about the size of a studio and that was too small for us. Then we moved to the 2bdrm house and... More
