This hotel is in a great location, a one minute walk from the beach and a twenty minute walk from the main street in santa barbara. It was expensive for what we got but accommodation in santa barbara is not cheap, the rooms are small and look like they have been recently done up. No fridge was in the room,... More

We stayed here for one night on our road trip from SF to LA. We paid $152 inc tax for a very small room, no breakfast and no free wi-fi (even a smile from the staff cost extra apparently!) We had tried to book three nights but the hotel was full (thankfully). This was the most expensive accommodation on our... More

I stayed only 1 night in this place on my way from SF to LA. I was looking just for a simple and clean room in a budget hotel. This one is certainly simple and for the standards of Santa Barbara cheap (although generally speaking overpriced) but in terms of cleanliness a little disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this hotel because... More

Stayed here for 1 night at start of May on 2nd night of a road trip from San Fran - LA. Booked this place purely on value as we were on our honeymoon and were staying at some top hotels elsewhere so needed to save a bit to allow us to be extravagant with our other choices. Planned to arrive... More

We chose motel 6 as an en-route stop drive up the Californian coast for one night only. Thankfully it was only one night. It served its purpose for us literally having somewhere to sleep although unfortunately we didnt even manage the sleep. Staying in a single king room it was as basic as a hotel room could possibly be with... More

Motel 6 Beach Santa Barbara. $79.99 plus $10.01 Tax. Clean, Quiet. A Motel 6 for $90 could raise some eyebrows but...It is sorta on the beach in an expensive town. Rates "next door" were $170 plus tax. Clean and worthy of the $90 per night rate.

We stayed just one night (thankfully). The room had 2 double beds which we found quite cramped as we are used to much bigger beds. The room was incredibly small as as there were 4 of us we found it a bit of a squeeze. We were also quite hot in the night but the air con was so noisy... More

This motel is pet friendly without additional fee. This is the original Motel 6 from which the chain started, and it maintains a high standard for efficiency, attitude, quality, and cleanliness. Our room was cosy with 2 beds, resembling a style we frequently experienced in Europe. It is somewhat Spartan, but perfectly met our accommodation needs. Our room had an... More

Traveling up the coast with my husband, brother and our dog. Great location, literally one block from the beach. No ocean view but we were just using it to sleep. The decor was modern. The room was VERY small, looks like the cut a normal room in half, so if your stay was long it would be cramped. The room/sheets... More

We spent a few days here on a backpacking trip in November. We've never stayed in an American motel before and we were pleasantly surprised, as it was very well designed. Even though the room was fairly small it was well laid out - one of the few places where you could watch TV from a chair rather than the... More
