The motel is located across the street from the beach and bike path. About a mile walk to the pier. Upgraded rooms with flat-screen TV (not much to watch of course). Plenty of parking on both sided of the motel. Adding a coffee maker and a microwave would yield 5 stars from me.

This is a Motel 6. It has been refurbished and as everyone knows it is the first Motel 6 in the USA. The room had bamboo like floors, two queen beds and a bathroom. The location is awesome, The management is helpful and friendly. The room was clean and all that was promised. The negatives are small and because this... More

This hotel is perfect if you're traveling alone or just need a quick one-night stand. It is clean enough and the bed and bathroom are basic, but get the job done. This is not a great place if you are looking for extra conveniences.

Not impressed. Though the property has been updated, it is easy to see through the "improvements." The pergo floor is coming up a little bit, there are burns in the table and cracks in the wall/paint. At least the bed was comfortable.

I gotta be honest, did not expect this place to be that nice, but it was totally awesome. The room was small, but clean and nicely put together. They've definitely done some remodeling. The only downside was how loud it got when our upstairs neighbor decided to move furniture or something. Oh, and you have to pay for wifi.

Well it's Motel 6 so of course it isn't 5 star, but this particular Motel 6 is a great economical choice for Santa Barbara. It's located 1/2 a block from the beach, many rooms have a beach view and it's withing walking distance of the pier. The room was very basic, but also very clean. It is bare bones without... More

This cheap and clean Motel was perfect. I woke early due to jetlag and wandered to reception to pick up my complimentary coffee. I saw the Pacific 100 yards away, so I went over and walked in the water for a while on the near-deserted beach. You could pay a great deal of money to be able to do that...

This is the very first motel 6 ever! Which makes it pretty cool. What didn't make it cool were the hairs on the supposedly clean towels, the shared ventilation with the neighbors rooms' bathrooms and the garbage left outside that attracted crows that called out loudly at 6am to announce their presence. I love a good bargain but this wasn't... More

It's a nice place, no free internet, no breakfast, but good location next to the beach. It's like 1 mile to Santa Barbara downtown. The room was clean, the air conditioning and shower OK. There is also a small swimming pool. The are seems to be safe, but it gets really dark at the night.

I enjoyed my 3 night stay here, all things considered. Remember this is a Motel 6, not the Four Seasons, not a Hilton, not a Marriott, not a Hampton Inn... you get my point. The room was clean, the air conditioning and shower water pressure were good. To be 100 yards from the beach in Santa Barbara and withing walking... More
