We are fairly regular visitors to SB. There are not a lot of "chain" hotels in SB, like Westins, Ritz Carlton's, JW Marriott's, etc. Mostly boutique type hotels. The Four Seasons is always out of the question because it's just too much, usually around $1,000/night. The Fess Parker was a disaster. We did like the Kimpton Canary very much but... More

A great hotel with historic atmosphere. This is not one of these "of the shelf standard find it all over the world" hotels. You can feel the spirit of the hotel and the incredible service they provide just adds on to this. My next visit will be at the Santa Barbara hotel again!!

Loved this hotel! Updated, and well appointed room. They serve a free breakfast that offers many choices for all types of diets. Plus, during the day they offered hot cider and hot chocolate, nice extra touches. Plus it's in the heart of downtown. Wonderful shopping and the beach, mission, and courthouse are all within walking distance. Excellent valet service as... More

Historical hotel in the heart of downtown. Location is great with decent service and breakfast. The room was small but clean. They've upgraded best they could without destroying the antique feel. Their elevator is historic - very old and very slow. Their elevator epitomizes the feel of the hotel.

In the middle of Santa Barbara the hotel is well situated for most activities in this very attractive and lively town. Rooms are comfortable and clean and staff very good. Valet parking at $10.00 a day is good value. The only real downsides are only having one breakfast option of a continental style one eaten in the entrance lobby and... More

The only place I stay! Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms; a gorgeous lobby that has hosted many of history's rich and famous; And a great continental breakfast every morning. Residing on State Street, you are only steps away from the beach, the pier, shopping, and entertainment. Valet park you car and walk everywhere!

Perfect Location to walk the main street to shops, nearby restaurants, and a 10 min walk to beach. Pretty lobby, with continental breakfast the 2 mornings we stayed. Staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming with each interaction.

This is a small hotel perfectly located downtown. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel lobby was decorated for the holidays including a huge Christmad tree. Valet service is provided and our car and bags were quickly dealt with. Check in was very efficient. Our guest room offered a very comfy, king-size bed and the room and bathroom were... More

We were in a twin queen room, which was very clean and neat with comfortable beds. The staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is in a great location, walking to shops and restaurants. We were very happy staying here and the rate on Thanksgiving was very reasonable.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The rooms are fairly small but well appointed. The morning breakfast is nice. The hotel has an amazing location on State Street walking distance to shopping and great restaurants. Thought it would be noisier since the hotel faces State Street but the hotel is fairly quiet. Staff is very friendly.
