The hotel itself was wonderful. Our room was on the Cota St. side of the building and we heard no noise from the street below. The beds were very comfortable and the room was immaculate. The noise of the bars across the street kept us up until 3:00am. Our room was facing the interior courtyard where all the air conditioning units are for the entire hotel. Once the bars closed, the motors of the A/C units were so loud they kept us up til the morning. We were very happy that our stay was over. more

We stayed on the top floor in a suite because we were warned that a club next door had a band playing and we might hear music all night in another room. The rooms at the front of the hotel would also be noisy with the passing traffic and tram. With this in mind, if you're planning on staying here... more

stayed here for only one night but really enjoyed it. THis hotel is in a great location. right on state street in the heart of all the shopping and restaurants. It is also within walking distance to the ocean. ROoms were very clean, a bit small. THe staff was really great. good continental breakfast as well. more

The hotel itself is fine. The location is convenient. Rooms are small but clean enough. We were put in a room directly connected to the elevator. Even with the television on you could here the elevator going up and down. When we asked to change rooms they said there was nothing else available. Ok, understandable. This hotel is right on State Street, walking distance from all the wonderful restaurants and shops in downtown Santa Barbara. The hotel is a very good value compared to others in the area, and other than not having a pool, it has everything you need and you can access pretty much anything including a 15 min walk to the beach... more
