I am one of those selfish trip advisor visitors that only reads reviews and never contributes with my own reviews but my experience with The Montecito Inn has inspired me to give back! We were attending a wedding at The Polo Field, just 5 minutes down the road and stayed in a Luxury Double Queen Studio. There were 4 of... More

Very nice hotel that was built in the late 20's but rooms are adequate at best for 2 people ...bathrooms very small....standard rooms all have King beds which is nice but not helpful if you have kids traveling with you....also we wanted to stay in Santa Barbara and this hotel came up for that location but is actually in Montecito... Such a charming hotel! Excellent service and friendly staff. Great breakfast every morning. Very small bathrooms but lovely and great towels and toiletries. Suggestion...choose the double queen room as it has two bathrooms which makes it much easier! Right in the middle of the action.

This is an older hotel and relatively small. However its rooms have been recently upgraded and felt larger than they actually are but the bathroom is really tiny.. We walked up the stairs to our third floor room rather than take the ancient elevator. The staff was friendly and helpful. I stay in Santa Barbara frequently and found this hotel... More

The Montecito Inn rooms are about as small as a postage stamp, and the bathrooms are so much smaller than any fine hotel I have ever stayed in. The registration staff have zero concerns for any complaint, saying, sorry that is the way it is. The complimentary breakfast is in the restaurant, but only 5 tables are available, the rest... More

First of all, this hotel is historic, but needs some updating. It is very expensive most likely based on the location, however, it is NOT a 4 star hotel. The bedding is awesome, and probably the best part of the very small room. The bathroom is very small and there is NO WHERE to put your toiletries, shower supplies, etc.... More

This hotel is supposed to be a 4 star hotel however (really) there is nothing 4 star about it. We arrived late and let the hotel know we had a long drive. There is an awkward elevator in the lobby that was built in the 1920's... The front desk attendant watched us struggle to hold open the heavy mesh gate... More

The Montecito is a small boutique hotel located in a walkable area of Santa Barbara. The hotel was originally built by Charlie Chaplin for Hollywood visitors. The rooms are small but beautiful. The bedding will make you feel like a celebrity.

True to the other reviews, the bathroom is small, but they made good use of the space, with little cubbies and creative areas to store toiletries. No where to put shampoo and shower supplies except on the floor of the shower. The service was great and the bed was comfortable. I could not get the wifi to work.

We just got back from staying at this hotel. I had read reviews ahead of time and some were mixed so we were a bit hesitant. Upon arriving, the valet parkers were friendly and quick. You can go in and out without a problem. The hotel is lovely! Perhaps we were in a renovated room (#310) but our room was... More
