Pretty quiet area, there's not much around. A few dining options across the street and down a little bit. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. Place needs some work, though. Carpet had a section where it looked as if it had been torn. One of the outlets at the desk didn't seem to work. The deadbolt didn't quite latch... More

At first glance this hotel seemed very quaint. The decor of the hotel is actually quite nice, similar to a Mexican hacienda villa. Our room was on the second floor with ceramic tiles. We booked this location specifically for the ceramic tiles, rather than carpeting. Upon check in we discovered that while the room looked clean, it was far from... More

I was a little nervous staying in a hotel so close to the border, some of the hotels down that way are old and dirty. We were visiting family who lives nearby so it was convenient for what we needed. When you walk into the lobby, it's all been redone with nice stone. The man at the front said it... More

I stayed 3 nights last weekend. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are large, there was a huge shower in my room, first time I've stayed in a hotel chain with such a great shower! The floor throughout the hotel, including rooms, is tiled rather than carpeted, which was very nice because I could see how clean the floors... More

So first off the light switches in the bathroom were broken. The screen on the only window that opened was broken, so I couldn't enjoy the wonderful SoCal weather. A lot of the staff speaks limited english, so if you don't speak spanish you're going to have troubles. The facilities are vary old, their wake up service is the front... More

We were going to Ensenada, Mexico for one day and wanted to get a place to stay close to the border. So Quality Inn and Suites Near the Border was an obvious choice for us. Liked: - only about 3 miles from the border. Bus 906 that stops right next to the hotel takes you there in 15 minutes. -... More

I live out of town and work in San Diego. This place is just about at the Mexican border; however, the rooms have recently been remodeled with a Mediterranean style, clean, pleasant and very comfortable! Unless you want the ultimate luxury motel, you will feel at home here! the highway noise was noticeable; however, I will stay here again without... More

This has got to be the worse hotel yet. There were about 10-rooms booked from our group. We all had similar problems. Not enough towels for the actual number of guests registered in the room and then they wanted to charge for additional ones. (i.e., 2-towels for 4-people). Corners in bathroom were unfinished and dirty; tub was slippery. One member... More

I booked this trip through the RCI point system and expressly asked for a hotel in center city San Diego. We were assured that this hotel was in the city. I questioned the quality at the time of booking through RCI and I was told that all hotels that they booked were the same quality. I also stated that I... More

My friends and I stayed here for three nights during this year's Comic-Con in San Diego. Our room had two queen beds, a TV, a coffee machine and a blow dryer. The bad: -no swimming pool or hot tub. -poor reception on 50% of the TV channels, and the ones that actually did come in were mostly Spanish-only. You also... More
