The Days inn seemed newly remodeled. It was a very nice and comfortable room with a small balcony and 2 chairs to sit and watch the ocean, sunset and a celebratory 5th anniversary bottle of champagne. Restaurants are all along this strip. 7 miles north on the 101 are the Elegant seals by the hundreds. Hearst Castle is another awesome... More

We were driving south on Highway 1 and did not feel like continuing anymore around 5 PM so we stopped in San Simeon to look for a place to sleep. The quality of what you get compared to what you pay for is not great in the area because there is not many alternatives and the hotel owners know that.... More

While visiting Moonstone Beach, a local shop-keeper told me that San Simeon had less expensive motels than Moonstone Beach. We were on our way north, along the California Coast, so it was good advice. Our room was clean and pleasant. Surprisingly, the furnishings in the room were in better condition than in the lobby. The desk clerk at the hotel... More

Impromptu stop as it was getting late and husband felt unsafe continuing to drive. Pros: Close enough that we were able to backtrack to see the seals without major time loss; nice room setup, mini fridge, hot hot water Cons: breakfast options were limited - 2 types of cereal or oatmeal and yogurt and white bread

We stayed here two nights while taking in the area sights and were well pleased with the motel. Rooms were clean and quiet, the breakfast was your typical continental food but was good and well stocked.

For the $85 a night I paid on a Friday, this hotel was a good value. I see for Memorial Day weekend they are asking $300 plus for this same room, and that's unacceptable, any more than $125 or so a night and I would stay away, not worth any more than that. If they update the rooms a bit,... More

From the initial front desk representative, who gave me preferred pricing and accommodated the requirements of my several room requests, to the accommodations themselves, the Days Inn was a great experience. We had no reservations, but you would never know it as we got everything we needed. Definitively benefited from the off season lull in that respect. Their restaurant recommendation... More

King size bed was comfortable. Room was nicely renovated. Clerk gave us a ground floor room. Everything seems clean and properly stocked. Good coffee and limited breakfast. Great location for visiting Hurst Castle which is only 3 miles north. We would stay here again.
