We had just come from spending 4 days in a tent in Morro Bay State Park. The hotel is kept up, not the usual Motel 6, recently remodeled we had a double room with a fridge overlooking the pool with a view of the ocean across hiway one. The connected restaurant serves decent food. Everything was clean, the room was... More

The guy on reception was very helpful. The room was a good size as was the bathroom but it was all very basic. The soundproofing of the rooms was poor so the partying workmen next door kept as awake for some time. This motel is in real need of a renovation

I was excited to stop here and stay. Easy access to the beach, which is great for my dogs. Nice place, friendly staff. Lots of places to eat. Hearst Mansion just up the road. Beautiful views, nice sunsets ! Everything was great till my dog pulled me off balance and I fell on the bluff and broke my wrist. The... More

While it was fine, there were nicer places in the area by the beach. Unfortunately, price dictates this may be the better choice for many of us! The staff was helpful, lots of room in the parking area, and nice room. My only negative comment is that the hall carpet was dirty and garbage sacks were sitting randoming outside.

Stayed for 1 night on 5 July 2014 at US$150.95 for 2 pax,& no breakfast. Nothing good i can comment about. Unfortunately, allocated room was away from the carpark and it was a hassle as we had loads to carry.

I was really surprised with this motel. I was just in town for one night while visiting Hearst Castle so I opted to stay at the Motel 6 as it was the most inexpensive option and I know they allow pets without having to pay a fee. This was one of the nicest experiences I've had staying at a motel... More

We stayed 2 nights in a “modern, micfridge” room with 2 queen beds. The room was nice enough, with laminate wood flooring (which feels cleaner than typical, lower end rooms with carpeting). There was a vanity with 3 drawers, 2 open shelves, enough sitting room in between for 2 people, and a long top with a 32” LCD screen --... More

First time staying at a Motel 6, and it was a pleasant experience. We stayed two nights for our visit to Hearst Castle and the surrounding area. Our room is modern with hardwood floors, but the public areas look outdated. Our large room had two comfy queen beds, TV with HBO, microwave and mini fridge. Ample desk space and a... More

After having a terrible stay at a different Motel 6 on our same road trip, I was hesitant about going to this one. But this hotel and the previous one were night and day! The front desk staff were very welcoming to us and our dog (we booked this especially for the dog friendly hotel on a budget). We were... More

This hotel is very nice, recently remodeled and some rooms have a partial ocean view. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is quite. There are many expensive rooms at the coast and the more affordable rooms, seem to have remained the same since 1985, not this hotel. Hardwood floors help with all the sand and updated bathroom feels more... More
