My wife and I (frequent travelers) stayed here for one night on our drive along the Pacific Coast Highway. Our stay: 1 night in a non-smoking king bed room Pros: - free wifi, although spotty - continental breakfast included (hard boiled eggs, make your own waffles) - large spacious room - quiet room (room 239) - close to Highway 1... We stayed two nights here, and while we were looking for something inexpensive, this hotel was not worth $79/per night. Pros: comfy bed Cons: dirty floors, poor tv reception, noisy through the walls, the "deluxe" breakfast was a stale muffin and luke warm coffee. I would NOT stay here again, nor would I recommend this hotel. There are lots of... More

This is an aging but perfectly acceptable family run hotel. While it does not feature air conditioning in the rooms it is not really needed sitting right along the central California coast. The attached Manta Rey restaurant is reason along to stay here. But we honestly had a perfectly acceptable night and would surely stay there again if passing through.

We wanted to stop overnight in San Simeon ( in order to visit Hearst Castle ) and checked into the Quality Inn. The rate was very good at $69 plus tax for room and breakfast It's not often you pay that rate and get a room with a sea view The lady who ran the motel was very helpful and... More

Poor all round, rooms were dirty, early morning call was late, The restaurant attached to the Inn was recommended as one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. Not in our opinion, the fish dishes were all over cooked

We had been staying at some quality ins to save a little money, but in this case it would have been better to check the room closer before paying. We had intended to stay 2 nights however after checking the room closer my wife performed a complete cleaning before we even unpacked. The next morning the "friendly manager from the... More

At the end of a long day of driving this was more a necessity rather than a choice. Not exactly filthy but not very clean either, very musky smelling room, noisy from upstairs as the ceiling seem to be very thin. Unless you are desperate, there are much better options about 6 miles further south but not much else further... More

Only 3 miles further south is a complex full of motels. We stayed just one night and felt we had made a good choice. The room and bed were large and very comfortable. The woman on reception called Jana was very helpful & welcoming, recommending the attached restaurant which turned out to be excellent as well. They gave you 10%... More

We picked this hotel out of the blue when we were driving along the Pacific. They offered us a great rate ($80, including tax) so we decided to go for it. Room was spacious and clean but had no A/C. Not a problem now, but in hot summers it might be. Beds and pillows were good, bathroom also. Breakfast was... More

We paid $131.83 with tax and that was really too much for this hotel. A similar one in LA was 71.00 a night. That would have been a more accurate price. Yes it was convenient to the Heart Castle and that's why we stayed there. I ordered tickets by phone the night before for a 9:00 departure. There are so... More
