The rooms were large with a nice couch and fireplace. Everything was fresh and recently updated. From the outside, the hotel didn't look like much but the inside of the rooms was above my expectations. We stayed here a couple of nights when visiting the Hearst Castle and loved it. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed there overnight before going to Hearst Castle. Two couples, our room was fine and the bed was wonderful. We didn't bring our swimsuits but the heated pool looked inviting with enclosed in walls but no ceiling. Breakfast, while modest, was good with homemade pastries among other things. It didn't appear that any of the rooms had an ocean... More

Spent 1 night in this hotel in order to visit Hearst Castle early the following day, which is only a 5 minute car ride away. It's a small hotel and the rooms are coming of age already. It did however deliver all we needed. Rooms are big with comfortable beds and good wifi signal. Breakfast was decent and staff friendly.... More

The Morgan was a fantastic first stay for our visit to the Hearst Castle and a landing spot for other highway 1 explorations. We spent our first evening on the 7:30 tour of the castle and followed up with drinks across the highway at a lively local restaurant and bar. The hotel was conveniently located in between the gate of... More

They were recarpeting the North building but we had a lovely ocean view room that was quiet. The room was standard hotel with 2 queen beds. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast was included and was standard Continental. Staff was helpful and friendly. We picked it because it was close to San Simeon Hearst Castle.

Front staff was very friendly, and there was no elevator (only two floors), but the staff did volunteer to take bags up. They do not have electronic keys, old fashioned key only. Room was very comfortable for spending the night to see the Hearst Castle. No other reason to stay in San Simeon, CA.

I booked the room on the 2nd floor. Sunset view and the fireplace were the nice addition. Quiet place, a big and clean room. It is conveniently located nearby several restaurants and Hearst Castle. if I ever in the area, I plan to stay there again.

Loved the hotel with walking distance to the beach to see and be entertain bye the dolphins and surfers. The room is specious and looks very modern not like a chain type of hotel. If you are a big breakfast person the buffet is not for you, it could be better with more choices. You can drive down to Cambria... More

The Morgan is a upscale boutique type hotel in San Simeon, very nice rooms and some with fireplaces and other amenities. Close to Hearst Castle and not far from Cambria as well. The hotel staff was friendly and nice, and enjoyed the overall quality and ambiance of the hotel. Plenty of places to eat close by, as well as down... More

A friend and I stayed in the annex part of The Morgan, the other side of a mexican restaurant. We were surprised that the hotel still used keys and not key-cards. Locks were a bit difficult, we had to ask for help with our door key as it would not turn the lock. Our upstairs room was comfortable though dated.... More
