Nice clean spacious room with incredible views. Decent restaurant and shop, and a wonderful starry night. Really quiet and a chance to relax and unwind in the adirondack chairs in the garden. Check in a bit hippy dippy - we were given the wrong room for a family - but everything worked out fine.

We spent one night here on our way to San Francisco from LA. The location is perfect and the view from the property is gorgeous! The room was a bit larger than a standard hotel room, which was nice with all of our luggage. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had been updated, but new "fluffy" towels would would be... The hotel is in a great location for breaking a journey between Monterrey and Carmel and LA. Hotel is basic but the view is fantastic,. We watched the sun set from the resturant - the hotel is in a really great location. There is a little mini-mart which had everything we needed as well as a fantastic resturant which really... More

Ragged Point Inn and Resort was absolutely beautiful. The setting, right on the edge of the cliff overlooking the ocean, was breath taking and exceeded our expectations. Add to that the lovely gardens and you have the best of Big Sur. If you are fit, try the path down to the beach. It is short but very steep and scary.... More

I was traveling from San Francisco to Los Angeles on road n.1 with my family, in "Adventure Mode !!" without any hotel reservation along the trip, willing to sleep on the car "if no different options available". But we had been lucky funding the last room here overnight. I don't know if due to the situation, the beauty of the... More

This is a top of the line Hotel. The rooms are very well taken care of and the view from each room is magnificent. It is located at the south end of Big Sur which make it a nature retreat. There are several hiking trails in the area. The only issue was the wifi that was very weak.

This is a good stopping point just inside the southern tip of big sur. Value is OK to good considering the location. All very simple - half a step up from a motel, in nicely landscaped grounds (though much more could be done with them). Good beds. Don't bother clambering down the path to the tiny private beach - it... More

We are a group of 6 people driving from LA to Vancouver of Canada. Ragged Point was our first night stay. The staff helped us check in wasn't very helpful. I don't know if she doesn't know or not willing to print out or tell us our seperated charges. Hilliary was a very nice lady helped us checking out. The... More

This is just a lovely hotel. Check in was slow and awkward. They were not prepared for my stay. But once I was checked in, the room was great, the restaurant was excellent. The views on the property were fabulous. The wi fi does not work if it's cloudy out. LOL And its slow no matter. Phone service is little... More

Mist , low cloud resulted in internet not working. After 7 only main restaurant which didnt appeal. we purchased some pasta /tomato sauce from shop (do not expect much in... More
