Breathtaking ocean views on the back patio. The mattresses need to be replaced they are hard, lumpy, noisy and it felt like the springs were gonna come through at any moment. I understand why there is no A/C here but they should at least install ceiling fans or supply a floor fan for some air circulation. In the heat of... More

Was a bit worried because of some bad reviews but thank god we were pleasantly surprised . Great room , looks to be recently updated . At dinner we had great service and food was great and average price ... Had filet and catch of the day ... Definitely would recommend for a stop on your way through pch

This location was good as it had not only breathtaking views of the ocean and pretty flowers but a fine restaurant to dine al fresco or inside and observe and very nice employees.. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons there were bands rocking away in a different area where barbecue and casual food were served. Alas, our room was too small... More

OMG what a disaster! We didn't check TripAdvisor before staying here and we really wished we had! The rooms are very old fashioned - badly in need of an update with uncomfortable beds, dirty drinking glasses, no ac & paper thin walls (- last night we heard all about the French family next door's trip through California so far!!). Our... More

I dont know what most of these reviews are talking about. This hotel is amazing! It is a quaint room with a porch where you can look down the beautiful cliff looking over the mist and roaring pacific ocean. The staff is helpful here. The best part of this place is the view of the sunset and the hiking trail... More

We picked this resort to spend our 8 year anniversary. Had been to the inn before to visit but had never stayed. Really wished we had stayed in Cambria. We had a garden room since we were staying with our dog. The room was upstairs so it had a decent view, however, it was very hot since there was no... More

The hotel is a disaster! This is the worst ever hotel we've stayed, more ironically, we paid but didn't stay there... We were a group of 21 people of 10 families, moms and kids. Can you imagine? We made reservations and paid in adance. However, when we arrived at the hotel it was said closed! But obviously, there was staff... More

The double beds are small and uncomfortable. Views can't be beat. Great stopover at the end of a PCH1 tour but wish the sleep would have been better. Fireplace kept the chill out of the room. We had a double cliff overlook room and it was spacious but smallest beds for four of us all over 5'8" including two over... More

You really have no choice if you want to stay at a decent place in the Big Sur area. The inn has a full service restaurant, bar, coffee shop, mini-mart, and gas station (with $6 gas!). Best part of the place is the restaurant, while pricey, food is excellent. Worst thing is lack of decent wi-fi and sometimes cell coverage... More

Beautiful setting right on the ocean. Room had a view of Pacific, clean, large, with fireplace. Gardens with lovely flowers are all around the grounds. Restuarant was nice, friendly staff and good food. Very good place to stay when traveling CA Hwy 1.
