We were looking forward to our one-night stay at Ragged Point Inn. We had booked the deluxe room, and found it was very average and obviously had much of the original 1950's decor. On the plus side, it was comfortable and had a nice view. That evening, we went to the Ragged Point Restaurant. The food was expensive and basically... More

Stayed here in a superior ocean view room. An amazing view of the Big Sur coast and the hotel grounds are lovely to walk around. Rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable and amazing value for the location. Only slight niggle is that the restaurant is a bit overpriced but I guess they have a captive market!... My boyfriend and I stayed here while traveling the Pacific Coast Highway from San Francisco to San Diego. This was by far our favorite stay of the whole trip! We stayed in one of the "garden view" rooms in the main lodge and our room had huge windows, a jacuzzi tub, and lots of space! It was the perfect location... More

Very disappointing. We booked 2 nights, stayed for 1 hour before deciding to leave and forfeit the cost of a 2-night stay. Customer service and front desk was very apathetic until we said we were leaving and then they kind of kicked into gear, but it was too late by then. The view is nice - but it's a very... More

I stopped for a meal, and to check out the property and the views and I wasn't disappointed. The shops were fabulous, the views amazing and the meal was pretty good too. Service was good. Priced right. Seriously yummy fries!

We stopped at the Ragged Point Inn on our drive up to San Francisco. We got to the hotel for 5pm and were immediately blown away by how remote it was. It was more beautiful then we could have imagined. Our room was huge, clean and gorgeous. Big fireplace and the shower even had a heating lamp over it!(Something I... More

This place is especially great if you're traveling North to South in Big Sur. You can spend the day wending you way through Big Sur, stopping for sights and hikes along the way. And end up at this beautiful place - preferably while it's still light so you can take in the views. And it's not just views - they've... More

We stopped at the restaurant about noon. It was a beautiful day and we were seated at an outside table. We had the Cobb salad with blue cheese dressing. The salad was great and the location made for a great noon stop. You can't go wrong with this place!

The restaurant is very inconsistent. We went here last Thanksgiving and had a great experience! We decided to bring my family last week and it was extremely disappointing. We couldn't view the spectacular views because the grounds were blocked off due to a wedding.Would've have been nice to have been told that when I booked the restaurant reservations. We all... More

We stayed in an upstairs cliff view room with a small balcony that had a beautiful ocean sunset view. The room was super clean comfy bed, also had a fireplace. We enjoyed walking around the property looking at the sights. Went and had a drink on the patio by the pond was nice. We will be back.
