We stayed two nights at Ragged Point Inn and overall were not entirely satisfied. The rooms are very clean and the view is spectacular - there is also an enjoyable (but somewhat hair-raising) "Nature Trail" down to the beach from the vista point. There is wifi here but it is very dodgy, which can be frustrating. Tip: If you are... More

We stopped here driving south on the 1. Though we did not stay overnight, we could see that it was well maintained and manicured. The views are spectacular and the grounds are dotted with colorful flowers. We did have an ice cream on a freshly cooked cone. It was delicious. Prices were fairly reasonable too. Well worth the stop.

We visited this Inn for 1 night in August 2014. It was well located for visiting Big Sur and taking in the beauty of route 1s coastline. The views from ragged Point and even from our room were incredible. The room was clean and tidy, well presented, and whilst it lacked a fridge, a limited number of these were available... More

You are definately paying for the view which is wonderful. The room, meh. Not worth over $300.00 for an ocean view room. Carpet very stained. No wifi or phone service. Breakfast at the restaurant was good and service was good. I wouldn't stay here again.

My son and I stayed here for two nights in August 2014. I paid $230 a night for a room on the bottom floor with ocean view, two double beds and a gas fireplace. The view was absolutely beautiful. I booked the room a month in advance from their website. The room was very clean with plenty of towels, soap,... More

We paid $399/night to stay in the cliff house. It was worth $200/night. The view was incredible. Everything else was mediocre. Don't expect much from this hotel. The service and food in the restaurant was terrible! For $399/night, at least you should get decent wi-fi.

We booked a "garden room" four months in advance so that we could attend the wedding of my niece. If you look at the description on line for "garden rooms" you will see they promised that "every one" has a partial view of the ocean or mountains. Au contraire for room L5. Instead of a partial view of either ocean... More

Beautifully located on the cliff, this is a great hotel for a stop when driving the pacific coast highway. Room was spacious enough for the five of us (one rollaway bed), with a great view on the ocean. Hotel has a beautiful setting, a restaurant and a mini-mart.

I recommend going here for all the reasons that make a resort a resort. First, it's in a beautiful spot, the rooms are very nice, better than most pics, there is a fireplace, the grounds are meticulous, the resort staff are amazingly supportive, helpful and nice and the food was stupendous! We loved every minute of being here. We will... More

Breathtaking ocean views on the back patio. The mattresses need to be replaced they are hard, lumpy, noisy and it felt like the springs were gonna come through at any moment. I understand why there is no A/C here but they should at least install ceiling fans or supply a floor fan for some air circulation. In the heat of... More
