We had a terrible stay. We were placed in a room next to a wild and crazy wedding reception, where several members of the United States Navy, otherwise known as drunken sailors, proceeded to make a huge amount of noise right in our back patio. We complained. No result, other than a lame response that this would be reported to... more

What a mixed bag of reviews this place gets. It always seems that it is the view that keeps this place highly regarded. When we were at the hotel, for on enight, we never saw further than 100 yards so the view was never going to affect our assessment. Check-in was painless; not fast, not efficient, but friendly and relaxing.... more

We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon in a driving rain, with 30 MPH wind gusts. The room was newly refurbished, with a ocean view wall of glass. Room was every thing their ads said, good bed, fireplace, great view. The wind was driving rain against the glass, beautiful. The lobby had warned the power was on and off, power went... more

The hotel is in a very beautiful location, no question. We were in a cliff side room and really couldn't be happier with the view. And then there's the room. Ugh. Very bare bones and outdated furnishings, although this didn't bother me too much, as I was still entranced with the view. However, the king size mattress was pre civil... more

We had the great luck of stumbling upon this little gem quite by accident, and are so grateful that we did! The only negative aspect (so I'll get that out of the way 1st) is that the room decor IS dated and the price was a bit steep considering. Other than that, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable with... more

Please ignore all the negative reviews. Those people are way too picky. This is a very quaint hotel with exceptional views of the ocean with kind of a midcentury modern kind of vibe. Granted the rooms could use a little updating but overall they were spacious and clean. Huge soaking tub which my wife immediatly took advantage of. Walking the... more

We stayed here on a trip up the coast, after hearing what an amazing location it is. I tried to get a Cliffside room, but had to settle for a "Lobby Area" room. Too bad!! It was advertised as a "Partial Ocean View" room, but this means, you see a bit of ocean on the right, past the Cliffside building... more

The photos fo the room on the hotel website are misleading: we booked the "top luxury" room category for a two night stay (their minimum on weekends) and found a Motel 6 like room arrangement. Old decor, mattress from world war II (or I), smelly bed cover, no extra blankets. This for ~ 350/night after taxes: This is complete rip-off.... more

We stayed at the Ragged Point Inn for three nights. We were told that we would have to move rooms on the second night because the hotel was fully booked, and that we would move from a standard room to a more expensive luxury room. This was fine with us. When we arrived, we were assigned a lovely room with... more

The deck from our second-floor king room gave us a view that was everything we hoped for: comfortable chairs, privacy from the neighbors on either side, waves crashing on the rocks below, shelter from the cool wind, hawks circling on the air currents. We sat there for hours. But the room decor was dated, budget-quality, and tasteless, the carpet was... more
