In the middle of nowhere, with very nice view from balcony in the room. People at front desk were very friendly. It was very quiet place to stay, and for the price it was absolutely worth. Room was clean, walls were very thin - we have heard a lot from people in other rooms. However as a one night visit... More

There quite a number of motels in this location to choose from and this complex does appear to be one of the older .The individual rooms do seem to vary, our friends had a upper level room with queen bed and individual balcony whilst our room had two queen beds and the terrace across the front was a common walkway... Very nice rooms! We got a two room suite with two queen beds in a separate room for our daughters, and a king bed in the main room for my wife and myself. Comfortable beds, and clean rooms. Nice quiet area across the street from the beach. Very well kept up property with a a relaxing atmosphere. Would not hesitate... More

The hotel is located almost in the middle between Los Angeles and San Fancisco on scenic oute 1. It has a large reception desk where you can also, find information brochures about the area and you can already peek at the menu of the attached restaurant. The room we had was a decent size for a short stay with a patio... More

Stayed here because it was the only room available. 70's era TV set ,weak cable, poor internet. Cheap and we got what we paid for. Not the worst , but way below average. Had an Elvis impersonator in the lounge Doing singalong.

We really enjoyed staying here, sitting on the room's patio watching the waves, listening to the surf and experiencing a beautiful sunset. It's really close to Hearst Castle and so it was very convenient. For an ocean view room, the price was very reasonable.

One of the things one expects from a hotel is operating air conditioning. It was 92 degrees the day we checked-in, and we noticed all the folks hanging out outside their rooms, with doors open. Hmmm, that's odd...until we opened our room's door. It was HOT inside and no A/C. The only solution was to keep the room and balcony... More

We came across this lovely motel after visiting Hearst Castle. What a little jewel. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and spacious having two beds was a treat. Fantastic place to stay would highly recommend it to anyone on a road trip.

Not a place I'd stay on a luxury vacation but a fine place to stay for the night. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and close to Carmel which is a cute town. Restaurant on sight wasn't good though. Not even for breakfast.

My husband and I stopped here because be were going to visit Hearst Castle the next day. The rooms were clean. That's my first expectation in a room. Also there were several restaurants near by, but we chose the onsite restaurant and the food was good. The night before we dropped by the bar and had drinks and appetizers. The... More
