Nice Embassy Suites. Drive time to SF is about 35 minutes but better to stay on the north side of town vs Daly City or South SF. Plenty of places to eat surrounding the mall on the other side of Hwy. 101. Staff was accommodating. Had a problem with the TV and they brought us a brand new TV. Down... More

We loved staying here! Close to SF and many other Bay Area attractions and loved the breakfast each morning and happy hour each evening!!! Rooms were great - bathrooms were nice and beds were comfy. I really liked the suite style room. It came in handy traveling with our 17 month old.

The staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was great. It was also very clean and had a cool common area. That said, the paper thin walls, lack of television channel selection, and lack of free WiFi left me feeling like I could hav stayed elsewhere and gotten a better value.

Every time I come to San Rafael, I'd like to stay in this hotel. Fell very comfortable with separated rooms: bedroom and working/sitting room. Very good service and friendly receptionists. I like the complimentary breakfast with quality and variety food to choose. The restaurant also serve very tasty food too. The location is good, just cross street to shopping mall.

This is a typical Embassy Suites hotel with an interior atrium and a good full breakfast included. My room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and I slept well. The public spaces show a lot of wear and tear, and I was surprised at how dated things look inside, as it doesn't look that old on the outside. The internet... More

We love Embassy Suites, and will often stay in one during family trips. This was our first time in this particular hotel, and we will be checking out early - after the first night. The room is disgusting. When we arrived, were greeted by a bunch of brownish-black "gunk" on one of the nightstands, and a sink drain that was... More

Our family of four stayed for 4 nights on a trip to explore the area. Our room was very dark and very dated and made me feel a bit claustrophobic. There were stains on the ceiling of our room and the furniture is tired. We paid for a Premium Room through Hilton, entitling us to use of a snack and... More

Visited the San Rafael area to attend my niece's wedding and a family reunion event. Embassy Suites provided a centralized location for our party of 7. The staff was very accommodating with early check-ins and having our 3 rooms in close proximity to each other. My cousin and her family also stayed in the same hotel. It was great being... More

Embassy is charging almost $300 on a weekend for a poorly decorated " corner suite" which cost almost $50 more a night then the regular suite; neither is ungraded and feels old. Much better deals in Marin. Marriot and Best western are at least reasonable and feel good to stay at!

The rooms are larger than an average room, the beds are very comfortable, all the rooms face the atrium, koi fish in the pond, and delicious breakfast. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, fruit. etc. If it is a busy weekend, do expect a line if you want an omelet made by the cook. The hotel is off the freeway,... More
