I took a long weekend trip for my birthday in October 2014. I completely forgot about this hidden gem! The room was just as clean and nice as any Marriott but much less expensive! The free breakfast was not limited to the standard continental of stale muffins and bulk cereal. This spread had every thing from eggs, bacon and sausage... More

Budget hotel with airport shuttle to SFO and breakfast. We had to spend a night because we missed a connecting flight so the airline paid for a stay here. We waited about 20 mins for the shuttle and it was a 10 min ride from SFO (make sure to reserve your spot at the Front desk as it's limited seating... More

The location is OK if you have a car. It's right on 101, so it can be noisy. Older facility, worn but clean. Room is on the small side, but the bed is comfortable. Bathroom is small, water pressure pretty bad. Breakfast is OK -- standard Costco fare, but the self-serve waffles are delicious. Staff is amazingly nice and cordial.... More

There is usually only one major reason someone checks in at an over-priced airport hotel: reliable (and secure) access to the airport. Though the San Mateo SFO Airport Hotel is is physically near the airport, it is not in a convenient location. Many other hotels in the area are within walking distance to restaurants, closer to BART or Caltrain, or... More

We stayed at the San Mateo SFO Airport Hotel after missing our flight because of weather delays. We called late in the afternoon and booked the hotel sight-unseen. (Many we had called were already booked.) We caught the hotel shuttle and got to the hotel fairly quickly. It was actually quite nice, reasonably priced, and next door to a Holiday... More

Best priced but book early with breakfast. Shuttle can bring you to the rentals, BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit to the airport and anywhere in downtown and ajoining suburbs quickly. BART accepts credit cards but bring cash too.

This is an older facility that offers an inexpensive place to stay for people traveling out of SFO. The complimentary buffet and friendly staff were an unexpected plus. The location is adjacent to the Bayshore freeway in a working class area, but felt secure.

I was in SF for business and I needed a place close to the airport to spend a couple of nights before an early flight. This hotel is close to the airport, has a good price, is clean and the breakfast is not bad. It was a pleasant stay, apart from the fact that the wifi comes and goes. One... More

I stayed here as part of my visit to Frisco. The price was just right for a person who has a car available. I was commuting in and out of the city, but the price compensated for that. The breakfast was good. Very close to the airport.

Very convinient if you arrive SF after a long haul flight or if you have get up for an early flight. The hotel is a bit outdated but clean. The highway is nearby but did not really causing any problems with regards of sleeping. The aircon unit is from the last century and very loud would not stay there in... More
