Worst Hotel/inn ever! You know when you see on the TV some sleazy motel with a dead body outline on the floor? Well this is that place. No lighting, no hot water tap working, no Internet, no food facilities at all. Dark Dungey Terrible.

We stayed her because we were catching a plane out of SFO the next morning. The Hotel is on the run down side and seems to have a lot of long term people staying there. They young lady at the front desk was very nice and check in was very simple. You do have your regular front door and also... More

We asked to see the room first and wow, were we glad. I'll post the photos for you. The staff was unprofessional in every sense, and the young woman behind the counter was loud, rude, lied, was wearing clothing more appropriate to a block party bbq, and was far more interested in talking/texting than in helping incoming guests. This is... More

Though I was looking for inexpensive on a business trip, I really expected more from this place. It has a good location for the area and you see the front of the building and think wow! But I was underwhelmed by the rooms. They need a facelift. Move into the 21st century and get some color into those lifeless rooms.... More

We were in the SF area just when the Oracle Conference was taking place. This lead to everything in the whole area either being fully booked or asking for unbelievable high prices. I think a travel lodge close to fisherman's wharf would have been over $200 / night. After all we decided to stay one night at the Hillsdale Inn... More

As noted but previous reviews, this is probably one of those hotels that you would rather not stay at if you are looking for vacation bright spot. I actually chose it for the cost as it was the cheapest in San Mateo. I expected it to be a flop house but it wasn't noisy. The carpets did smell some but... More

WARNING! This is a flophouse! This means that most of the people staying here live here full-time. The place is a pit, I did not feel 100% safe here and I was half worried my car might get broken into. The hotel is actually in a decent area close to many things and near the freeway, but that's where the... More

We made reservations for this motel while on a roadtrip and it was a big mistake. The rooms are a mess, dirty carpets, mold on the drapes. Not wanting to even step inside the room was a big clue, but having to sit on the bed was even worse. We wanted a non smoking room, we got a room that... More
