The Madonna Inn is a kitschfest. Its the kind of place that had Liberace in mind when it was designed. We stayed at a nearby hotel and told at reception we simply must pop in and look around before we leave the area and that is what we did. We actually stopped by the bakery/cafe for some cakes and cookies... More

Over two weeks touring Vegas and California, staying in five star establishments, household brands. This without a doubt was the highlight of our trip. Forget the fancy names, forget the Egyptian cotton. This is a proper hotel. Individualised rooms all quirky, all great fun. My new wife and I had the pleasure of staying in the Lucky Rock room. We... Stayed on the 9th April for one night in a crazy themed room with a water wheel and other mad moving parts. The hotel was not only great fun with huge comfortable beds, the staff were excellent, the steak house was superb and pool lovely. A definite one off, it's crazy rooms might not be to everyone's taste if you're... More

My husband and I have wanted to visit The Madonna Inn for ages and we finally built it in to a long California road trip. After hours of driving from the Joshua Tree area, we drove up Madonna Road and couldn't help but squeal in delight! The hotel is a fantastic sight and we quickly registered at the awesome Registry... I am sure the Madonna Inn was an iconic hotel back in the 70's but this place is tired, dusty,in desperate need of a refurbishment and new owners. We ate in the Steakhouse and I am not sure how we survived without food poisoning (possibly because the food is cooked twice) $49 for a steak which was like leather is... More

We didn't get a chance to stay at this hotel but we did visit the gift shop here. The young lady that helped us was really nice, we purchased some clothes and they didn't fit before we left San Luis we were able to exchange it for the right size. This place is a cute place to visit as well

Madonna Inn was a highlight on our road trip through California, I can't wait to go back! The hotel was extremely unique and so interesting to look around, let alone stay in. The individual rooms were novel and all looked great, very clean and lovely complimentary products in the bathroom. The pool area was a great bonus, with lovely views,... More

If you're in the area you have to stay at the Madonna Inn. It's such a unique hotel, the rooms are almost unbelievable. We stayed in the Matterhorn with a balcony and a view of the pasture and rolling hills. It was great. The rock shower was a nice bonus! The Inn is such a time warp (in a good... More

First of all I want to say I Love the Madonna Inn. I live in San Luis Obispo and we go there often to eat. The spa is excellent, the decor is fun and they have a great beef dip sandwich and fantastic bakery. However, I recently stayed there with my daughter and was shocked by the uncomfortable beds and... My husband booked the Madonna suite for my birthday weekend. This suite was so interesting- every light fixture, fabric, chair, mirror, etc was quirky and over the top! The cascading sink and waterfall shower were so fun and our family loved coming by to visit and sit by the fireplace. I loved how there were comfy robes which kept us... More
