We really enjoyed our room, but every time we encountered a staff member we we a little bit disappointed. No one was welcoming, and no one went above and beyond to make our stay great. If you do go, avoid the steakhouse if possible. I'm used to overpriced hotel restaurants, but the food and service left a lot to be... more

A friend and I stayed here one night in the spring - we had the Barrel of Fun room, one of the pricier rooms available in the place. Wow - lots of glitter wallpaper, wet bar, waterfall rock bathroom, fireplace, dining table, two large flat screens, big king size bed, and on the walkway to the pool. So for all... more

Stayed here for one night in the Jungle Rock room and absolutely loved it. First of all, this is NOT the Four Seasons, but I wasn't expecting it to be. What it is, and what it delivered on in spades, is an absolutely bonkers experience. My friend and I loved our room and the waterfall shower was a nice touch.... more

My Mom and I stayed in the Fabulous 50s room for a night during a Hearst Castle trip. The room was great, clean and appeared to have been updated recently. We were in the building closest to the highway but the road noise didn't bother us. Pink robes in the bathroom were a nice touch. The rooms can have a... more

We stayed here for one night on our honeymoon - a night we regret! We stayed in the Old World suite, which was impressive. Waterfall shower and sink and large fireplace gave a great first impression, as did the complimentary "champagne" left for our honemoon. We were put in the wrong suite to stay with our one-year old however, as... more

The Madonna Inn is all that people say about it. I’m not sure what style the buildings exteriors are supposed to be – fairytale springs to mind. Interior wise – bizarre. I’m sure that you will either love it or hate it, but either way it will be memorable. We had the Highway Suite, almost plain compared to some rooms,... more

I was looking forward to staying here for a night as I figured it would be a fun, if tacky, place to stay. I would say that I was actualy very surprised at the overall quality of the hotel. The pool was actually very nice with 2 seperate, private spas at the top of the property. The room was very... more

i have stayed in the madonna inn many times over a period of 35 years. it has always held a serious spot in my heart for destination hotels, but our last stay convinced me to stay elsewhere, but eat here. our room, the espana, reeked heavily of either mildew or heavily-scented cleanser, but the mixture of the two was very... more

We always enjoy reading the candid comments from our guests and take the opportunity to use them as a learning tool. Madonna Inn Resort & Spa recently completed full renovations of rooms including many upgrades such as, new and refurbished furniture, additional can lighting, custom bedspreads and upgraded bathrooms (some with Toto Washlet toilet seats). In addition, the Reservation Office...

First thing I noticed was a smell of midew in the cave man room. I was charged $50 smoking fee for burning incense(to make the room more livable). Both my wife and I are non smokers. I will never stay again. more
