This, in my opinion, an average motel room that is kind of pricey for the type of room. It had no bathtub, however the shower was ok. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was in a quiet area and we had no problems with any road noise.

Older motel that needs some upgrades. First room had a running toilet which the front desk could not fix. Next room had a refrigerator that went hot and cold - goodbye ice cream. Last night the WiFi went dead for about 2 hours. Cracks in the plaster are "painted over". My room was at the top of the stairs -... More

A nice, older hotel. Nicely located, prices were good for an area close to the coast. The Restaurant next door is great. an Irish Pub. Easy access to the 101 freeway, a clean area, no problems at all. Very decently priced, save some money if you are wanting to spend time at the coastal areas.

We stay at this hotel regularly for business. The manager, Gayle, is always helpful and accommodating. on this trip, the car battery died and Gayle kindly drove me to the garage to get the battery replaced. That is totally going beyond the call of duty! This hotel and Gayle are the best!

The staff is very helpful and the hotel is in a good location. Their swimming pool is the best feature. Rooms leave something to be desired. For the price I paid for the night, it seemed a bit shabby, and the room was small.

Older hotel, in a good quiet location. Room was not clean hair left on bathroom floor, towels had stains on them and were very rough. Bathroom vanity was crowded with microwave and coffee maker. Vanity had no towel rack near it, it was by the shower. Bed sheets felt like sandpaper, pillows were tiny and flat. Front window lock on... More

Terrible room - the room was dirty and someone had been in the room previous to our attending. The manager blamed the houskeeping. He was not professional at all. The room was small for the price and dark. The air conditioner worked but made a terrible noise..

Visited SLO on business and stayed again at this Best Western because they had a good price and a comfortable bed. The Somerset Inn is close to town and the grocery store, and the staff is friendly. This will be the first place I look at for my next trip to the area. Good, solid value for the price. Pool... More

Good hotel for the area at a very reasonable price. Staff was very helpful and fast! I enjoyed the hot tub and 8 ft deep pool. The pillows and bed were comfortable. I was surprised by the amount of breakfast food provided and the coffee was good.

This facility is one that my wife describes as "rustic"; I call it "quaint". The hotel could use some updating. The rooms are on the small side. The water in the shower took considerable time to warm-up, but did maintain the temperature once reached. All things considered maybe the proper term for the facility is "old". The office lobby closed... More
