Stayed for one night late October, site was good, pool was great, however when we went to the showers the lighting was terrible, I could only use the disability shower as it was the only one I could see in. Not all that clean, drainage hole was full of hair. Lighting outside showers & laundry very bad, had trouble walking... More

We stayed here in July 2014. A nice stop on our way from Los Angeles to Yosemite. We wanted to stay at a nice and quiet beach place. The nearby beach has good parking options and nice restaurants. The swimming pool was a hit with our girls and very quiet during July. We would come back here. Wifi reception was... More

We stayed here on the 23rd September. This was a great central site to stop at from LA to San francisco. When we turned up the staff were friendly and helpful the office sells wine from the local vineyard at great prices. The park did not have any grass on or near the pitch. The park is very close to... The people in the office were very nice. The camp store is nice, small, more gifts and trinkets than camping and food supplies. The pool looked well cleaned. The grounds were clean. BUT...The bathrooms were quite below par. The shower curtains were too short so water was all over the area outside the shower, where one had to dress. The... More

If you want a central location for a driving trip to the beach this is a good location. Easy drive to Pismo, Avila and Morro Bay. For the price we expected the facilities to be better maintained. But the walk or bike ride to the farm across the road for ice cream makes you forget about the down sides.

Customer service is horrible . They don't respond to basic requests. I walked into the bathroom which had two toilets overflowing, and when I called the front desk they said our cleaning person isn't here till the morning. Don't bring kids here, they have a lot of rules against motorized scooters, skateboards, skates, etc. Also, no campfires. Takes the fun... More

Everyone is packed in like a cannery, back to back, side to side. Barely anywhere to sit outside. No privacy. Everyone uses the bathroom for showers after the pool so they are constantly in use. If you have kids, there is a lovely pool and lots of gravel for riding bikes. We call this a Waystation - a one-nighter -... More

Cabins with fewest ammenities. highest prices and rude service. Too many people, screaming children, loud neighbors, vehicles and with major highway far too close to have anything resembling peace and quiet. Quoted more than $300 for a cabin with no bathroom, no shower, no air conditioning, nothing to suggest that such a price could be expected, coupled with a "devil... More

Stayed for one night in Apr 2014. The pool and playgrounds were a hit with the kids. As previously mentioned it is a bit cramped and can be noisy as it is next to the freeway. The only downside was the "store" closing at 5pm meaning we had to drive into Avila for some basics, otherwise the rating would have... More
