We chose this one because it was within walking distance of Amtrak station in San Luis Obispo. The young lady at the desk was helpful, answering our questions about walking around in San Luis Obispo. The room was on the second floor. No coffeepot/coffee in room. (that's important to me). Bathroom had a nice shower. I knew there was no... More

dont expect to get value for money, but as this stay was just a overnight stopp to get to Monterey we only needed a room to sleep and that purpose did full fill the San Luis Inn alright. Bathroom was pretty run-down but atleast the shower functioned , you can walk down to the main street of San Luis O.... More

Room was abit run down but it provides lots of support amenities for old people. Felt a bit like a nursing home. Parking space was adequate for tenants. Major plus for us was it is literally near to the freeway entrance. It has a pool if you are interested in a dip. Breakfast was bland with really weak coffee. Service... More

Not the best hotel for service. In fact there's not any. Located 50 feet from the road so it's noisey outside. I would not stay there again. Most guest are workers. Hanging out in the parking lot drinking beer after work. The outside is very run down and looks like a place that you would not like to stay at.... More

One night stay, the guy at the desk was friendly. The room was OK- nice wood floor. The bathroom was a bit small, I'm not that big, but it felt crowded. located with easy access to downtown and it's restaurants and to the 101 when it was time to go. parking is a tight squeeze. glad I wasn't driving a... We stayed here for two nights as San Luis Obispo had been recommended to us. Reception guy was not very efficient and checked us in for one night only. After we told him we were staying for two nights he had to refund our money and then recharge us for two nights, not very efficient. Our room was on the... More

We booked a room with 3 beds, for 3 people, and, when we arrived at the hotel, at 10pm, after driving the whole day, the front desk woman gave us a key of a room that was completely dirty, the bed sheets had not been changed after the last guests. The woman desk had already charged us for the room,... More

My kids loved the place, i did not . Why? It just seemed to old and too functional. No warmth to the place and very little service. Like being in a Holiday inn. Maybe i am just used to being in a B&B, but his place was not for me. Cheap is what you get, and the bottom line is... More

We stayed one night on our way back from SF to LA. It is in a good locatioin, but everything is old, but useful. You have to kick the door to open it, but it does have everything, in cluding refrigerator and free WiFi. The front desk man is smiless, but the lady is friendly. She helped us to open... More

Don't get me wrong, this is not a high end hotel by any stretch; but it is cheap, friendly, clean and in a convenient location in SLO. I have found that when you begin by being polite to the employees they usually reciprocate. We found the owners to be very friendly and accomodating allowing us to use the bbq in... More
