The resort is in a beautiful canyon location, near the ocean with easy access from the highway. There are wonderful walking trails and lush gardens. Our room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. The mineral water hot tub for our unit was very private and easy to operate. There is a spa, restaurant, bar and gift shop on... More

The good: Hot tubs Coastal location Hiking and biking on a path out the door Beautiful oak trees Comfy bed The bad: The motel style rooms are almost Motel 6 style (if you can afford a suite, go for it) Employees are mostly college kids On a busy weekend, you'll be subject to many others' private conversations and "activities" because... The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was fine in general although the furnishings were dated and a bit battered. The private hot tub was very pleasant but a little funky (very basic PVC plumbing and unfinished wood). The restaurant was a very mixed experience. Our server was polite but seemed anxious, uncomfortable and inexperienced. Limited... More

We were traveling with our 3 month old baby. The front desk was horrible. We ordered a bottle of wine to the room to celebrate our first vacation post baby. A phone call 20 minutes later told us the bottle we ordered was out of stock but our apps had arrived. Cold apps and sweaty cheese and the bottle of... More

We have gone to Sycamore many times over the years, but this was by far my favorite trip. Upon arrival my hubby informed me that we were in the meadow, my favorite area near trails to the beach. Our room greeted us with romantic lighting, a bottle of chilled champagne, some tasty treats and a path of rose petals through... More

Well we went in but not sure that was a good idea. Our tub was tubby and it was not private. I could see other people walking by thru the lattice.Tub was pretty hot but kinda ghetto. I don't know just a bit odd. On the way down the stairs i did hear some people having sex in a tub,... More

I stayed as part of a group over the New Year's Eve holiday. We were given what seemed to be the oldest rooms. While clean, they looked decades old (early 1970s?) and not very nice looking. The advertised hot tubs for the hot springs water on the back patio were full of leaves and usable only if one was willing... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your time in writing a review. We appreciate the feedback. Our team has been working closely with the organizer of this retreat about some miscommunications and on ways to ensure that these issues are resolved. We, of course, are disappointed that the group didn’t enjoy our chef’s fresh garden cuisine. Our F & B team... More

My Parents decided to treat themselves, me and my sister to massages here during out stay in Pismo Beach. At the time we booked it we weren't sure if my sister and I would be able to get into separate mineral soaks, which we understood. When we got there, very early I might add, because my parents treatments started 30... More

The rooms are okay. Comfortable. Thing about motel style. The tubs on the patio are great as they have mineral water without chlorine. We used them in the evening and morning! You will smell as rotten eggs. So make sure to take a shower if this is an issue. I have a broken wrist and the waters make wonders when... More

We visited Sycamore Mineral Hot Springs at the recommendation of a family member. We booked a West Meadow Spa Suite for our stay. The resort its self is very secluded, located in the woods just west of Avila Beach. To get to our suite in the West Meadow, we had to cross a walking bridge over the main road, Avila... More
