We stayed nearby in Pismo Beach and went to the outdoor hot spring bath for an hour, $12.50/pp/hr. Very secluded, comfy and romantic. They let you bring wine. more

The hotel had some nice features, but the rooms were a little grungy. I was not happy with the location because i wanted to be in walking distance to a beach. The mineral hot springs are nice, but they really stink! more

We booked a suite (Divine) with a private mineral spa. The spa's jets were broken, the spa was dirty, and the deck the spa was on showed extreme signs of wear. The patio furniture on the deck was falling apart. The view from the room included a utility pole and if you left the patio doors open, you were subjected... more

My husband and I just had a wonderful 2 night stay at this resort. We got a great package that came with a meal and a treatment each day. It very reasonable and the room was wonderful. We were set up in some of the bungalows in what they call the nature preserve. I didn't know much about mineral water... more

Funny because from outside I was exspecting so much more! The grounds are beautiful and romantic. Lots of flowers and large trees - very pretty! Spa was fantastic! Very modern/rustic, tile and hardwood floors, robes and other luxuries. But thats where it ends. I think they spent all their budget there. This place is pretty pricey, but our room was... more

Let me just start off by saying that I'm a hot springs junkie. I'm not a fancypants type of person -- I don't need luxurious 600 thread count sheets and warm towels to make my vacations great. That being said, the only reason I've come back to this hotel is for the tub. When you call up the hotel for... more

This resort has such potential, I wish I could recommend it. We arrived a few hours prior to check in and the person at the front desk clearly wasn't going to help us - there was just something strange and unhelpful about her. On the other hand, I'd signed my husband up for a massage to celebrate his birthday and... more

San Luis Obispo: Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort Dreadful!! Date: January 22, 2009 Reviewer: Deanna - previous 'regular' guest of this property As a frequent 'leisure' traveler all up and down the state of California, I favor the serenity of the Central Coast best. I began coming to Sycamore Mineral Springs in 2004 for its beauty in nature and mineral 'waters'... more

My husband and I love soaking in natural mineral hot spring water, and we love the scenery of California's Central Coast. We had driven by Sycamore Mineral Spa and Inn several times while visiting Avila Beach and Pirate's Cove, and we finally got a chance to stay for a night. We booked a suite advertised as having a private mineral... more
