This is not your typical bed and breakfast. You are much more than a guest here. You are a treasured friend and nothing is too good for you. Or your dog. We stayed in the Chanticleer Suite which carried the French rooster theme throughout---including the bed, lamps, pictures and various objet d'art. It was tres charming. There were so many... More

What a charming place. The wine tasting & tasty morsels served on the patio in the evening were wonderful. Homemade dog treats. Super friendly staff. Turn-down service is a knock on the door with a delicious truffle and info about breakfast & weather. Breakfast was wonderful: a leek & goat cheese strata for me, & gingerbread pancakes with a chocolate... More

Petit Soleil is a great little B&B. The rooms are comfortable and the service is impeccable. Their breakfasts are so unique and tasty. There's a little restaurant next store, Splash, that serves the best clam chowder. All-in-all you will definitely not be disappointed!!!!

We needed an overnight stop as we made our way to L.A. we came across this place. They were so family friendly (we have a 2 year old with us). The bedroom was big, the food was amazing, and they were all so hospitable like you really are spending the night at their house. It had the french charm from... More

We agreed that they had the best mattress that we have slept on in a long time. Our room was roomy with lots of space to stretch out and comfortable. Little things like turn down service with chocolates were a nice touch. The hosts and the staff were cordial and nice to visit with. There are two hot choices in... More

My husband and I were visiting our son during Thanksgiving and decided to explore a few towns on the way. We heard about this bed and breakfast from friends and San Luis Obispo was on our route. It was well worth the stop! Besides the town being so charming, this inn was just so welcoming and adorable. Our room was... More

An absolute jewel. The rooms are better than the pictures in the website and so is the B&B. The staff is wonderful and cannot say enough of their scrumptious breakfast (the quiche was to die for) and the social happy hour wine and home made appetizers. Thank you for giving travelers such a great place to stay.

We stayed at Petit Soleil during a brief trip to SLO, planned to avail ourselves of kayaking and hiking nearby. The property is lovely in everyday -- our room was comfortable and attractive, the breakfast outstanding, and - best of all - the staff was uniformly friendly, helpful and accessible. I look forward to staying there again.

The photos on the website do not do this fabulous bed and breakfast justice. We were looking for a comfortable place to stay on our drive down the Coast and felt we would have to settle on an outdated, smelly place or a boring chain three star hotel. What a surprise to find this little slice of Provence right outside... More

About 15 min. from the SLO airport, or a few minutes by taxi from the Amtrak Station, and within easy walking distance to the restaurants, shops, mission area, and - of course, the Thursday evening Farmer's Market. A very charming B&B, nice room, excellent breakfast, warm treatment from the lovely people working there. Others have detailed the gourmet breakfast &... More
