This is a great find for staying in the area. Beautifully redone, comfortable, California elegance, nice courtyard filled with olive trees, clean, well-managed, especially nice breakfast, and very nice staff. Best option for visiting Pinnacles National Park if not camping or for the night before. Away from the the strip mall world of Hollister. Short pleasant walk to see Mission... More

I found this hotel by searching reviews on TripAdvisor. Stayed there for one night prior to a meting in Santa Cruz (40 minutes drive) so that I could stop in at the historic San Juan Bautista mission. Recently renovated and now part of the Leal Vineyards group, the hotel is designed as a square on two levels around a large... More

What a lucky find! Five of us girls went to San Juan Bautista to see the Christmas play at the Mission. This was a blind booking and we were amazed at our warm welcome from Valentino, complimentary glasses of wine, and the nicely decorated, spacious, and immaculate rooms! Valentino recommended a great restaurant and provided our transportation (via Cadillac) there,... More

We stayed at this reborn hotel a week ago and loved it. I liked the excellent service that we got from the young people who manage the hotel, providing us with wine the first night we were there and turning on the outdoor fire ring for us. The breakfast, which is part of the hotel price, was fantastic. The room... More

My husband and I were attending a wedding at the Leal Vineyards and decided to treat ourselves to a night away. Hacienda de Leal was one of the hotels recommended by the bride's family. We are so glad that we stayed there! It's a little hard to find, since there's no signage, but it's the only hotel around, so once... More

New hotel outside San Juan, actually, is a regenerated old funky place. These folks have done an amazing makeover, with a delightful inner courtyard, where they pour wines, make pizza, etc. Breakfast is cool little Mexican style omelettes with Chorizo, etc and little tortas with cheese n peppers, all heated in the wood fire. Rooms are elegant, top quality materials... More
