I stayed here two nights on business. Pretty good location downtown, about 10 minutes from the airport. It is right right across the street from the convention center and near plenty of restaurants. The hotel has a nice lobby and a European old world feel to it. Breakfast was not included, but it was delicious and they served good size... More

We were here for a family wedding. The cousin chose this place for everyone to stay. The hotel lobby was nice. Valet service was awesome because the guys were super nice but note, it is expensive ($29 a day). A slight mishap when we first checked in, our bathroom was missing the shower curtain and the tub had several chips... More

The hotel is located in the city center of San Jose with abundant of restaurants just a walking distance away. The hotel looks old and classic in a good way with all the vintage decorative. Hotel room is huge and bathroom of decent size. Amenities are provided aplenty, from towels to soap and shampoo. Thumbs up for the service of... More

We attended a wedding reception here on Saturday and it was fantastic! The food, ambiance and service were Tremendous. The people who run the catering part of this establishment are real pros. The location downtown is great. The building is very interesting and it has a charm that certainly gives you a feel for what it was like in the... More

One of the more interesting renovated downtown properties it met all of our expectations. The renovated, upper floor rooms although compact, were quiet and very modern. The lobby, elevators and meeting rooms are excellent, as is the in house restaurant, Il Fornaio . Parking, at 29$ per night was uncomfortable, but convenient and car retrieval was prompt. Staff were very... More

I really enjoyed this hotel. The hotel is just beautiful to look at! The staff was okay, but the valet was amazing. It is 29 dollars for in and out privileges and they have a private parking spot at the convention center parking lot for you. It is also within walking distances to a few banks which is nice and... Was in San Jose for business meetings and stayed at the Sainte Claire. Upon walking in, I felt I had gone back in time and expected a very interesting and nostalgic experience. The longer the stay went on however the more disappointing it became. The room was small with a view of a concrete wall. The hallways were dingy with... More

The Sainte Claire is a gorgeous old hotel -- you enter the lobby and are whisked away to the early 1900s when staying here must have been an incredible luxury. The bell staff and the restaurants are great and hospitable. Then you go up to your room and feel as if you've been transported to a completely different hotel. The... More

Everything about this hotel speaks of former greatness. Oh, what a beauty she must have been. It evokes a set from the film "Sunset Boulevard." You might even imagine that Norma Desmond -- the tortured "has-been" character who was once a great silent film actress in the film -- walking through the corridors. Built in 1926, when silent films WERE... More

Unless you include the sex happening next door, there is nothing special about this hotel. We were already annoyed with the VERY THIN WALLS through which I could hear normal conversation and suitcase zippering, but when we complained about sex waking up our infant at 1AM, we were brushed off. The next day they were doing construction. CONSTRUCTION! And, again,... More
