Hayes Mansion is marvelous, romantic and a real eye catcher. The historic building leaves a lifetime memory. We booked the hotel in a time share program (RCI) and ist was absolutly the best we good get in the san francisco bay area. Our trips, went to SF, Monterrey, Carmel, highway No. 1, yosemite national parc, pebble beach, half moon bay... more

I would and hope to stay here again. The location is not ideal but it didn't hamper any of our plans. It was always a nice place to come back to or just spend the day at the resort. Food was good..breakfast was wonderful! A nice place to walk also. more

My mother and two teenage daughters and I came from Seattle to San Jose for a wedding. I was suspicious about the mansion, because the rate was so reasonable. But, to our delight, the hotel was wonderful! We will definately come back here, even if we never leave the grounds. I felt as if I was in Italy, or someplace... more

The only negative thing I can say about this place is when I called for directions while only being 5 minutes away, the female advisor had me going in the reverse direction of the motel. I called again and still was give the wrong directions. Only when a male answered was i give the correct way. That was frustrating at... more

After reading some mixed reviews we decided to go for and are glad we did. The hotel was centrally located for our needs since we were in town for a wedding. We booked online and received a book 2 nights and get the 3rd free so the value was great compared to some of the other option in SJ. Room... more

We enjoyed our stay at Dolce Hayes. Our room was small, but very charming; since we knew the hotel was a mansion, we weren't expecting a huge room. The bed was very comfortable, and the staff helpful. Beautiful old style charm, if we're back in San Jose, we will stay again. more

With a AAA rate and very thorough shopping, a good deal. Beautifully landscaped exterior and in a nice quiet residential area, we were very comfortable. We did not eat anything here, but did use the pool. The pool - not a restful experience. Unfortunately they have built the pool at the apex of a hub of activity. You can hear... more

During our 1 night stay, the spa was out of service, we were very disappointed. Indeed the manager apologize to us and gave us a free entrance to a local swimming pool. The hotel is about 15-20 minutes to downtown by car, so if you go there have a car with you or just stay in the hotel to relax... more
