Spent 8 nights here, then an extra before flying home. The hotel service was good, although there was confusion about whether breakfast had been pre-arranged, so I ended up having to pay an extra $28 dollars for each night (I am still disputing this). That apart it is a lovely hotel. It has a strange 'faux' appearance and some fittings... more

When we got to the hotel, there were no smiles or greetings. Then we were given a map to our building (instead of saying "it's the next bldg") and it took us three tries going in and out of the complex to find it. Parking for a single person with luggage is inconvenient (it's across the street in a lot),... more

I got a good deal on priceline, but a couple were traveling with booked it directly and paid a bit more and I thought what they paid was still pretty good. Very nice room and grounds, the toiletries in the bathroom were good. We were concerned about a loud wedding reception downstairs when we got back one night but couldn't... more

This Hotel was mediocre at best. My husband and I were in San Jose for only one night. Coincidently I got this hotel as a part of my Travelzoo Top 20 weekly deals and we went ahead and booked the room directly through the hotels website. We arrived late (around 10 PM) and were surprised to see the parking lot... more

We stayed at the Hayes Mansion this weekend. I was a little leary wondering how good it could be having only bid $39 a night on Priceline and it being accepted. Upon driving in I was a little leary as it is not in the greatest part of San Jose. Needless to say, upon driving up I was quite happy.... more

I enjoyed the Dolce Hayes Mansion very much. It provided everything I needed - plus had a surprising spa right on the grounds. It was by far the best massage I have ever had. As for the room, our was right on the main level, with courtyard access near the pool. We planned to "hang around" at the hotel for... more

If you are looking for a relaxing, fabulous property this is the place for you. We had a personal event to attend in the San Jose area and chose this property so that I could check out the service and meeting facilities as I coordinate corporate meetings. After our wonderful experience this past weekend I would not hesitate to bring... more

I stayed at the Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose recently as part of a business meeting. The Hotel, which has its own convention/meeting center is a welcomed change of scenery from the typical conference centers. This is a well maintained historic property. I arrived at the San Jose Airport and requested a cab to Hayes Mansion – travelers should... more

This was my second time staying there. First time I had a very good experience. For that reason, I chose this place again. But It was a mistake this time. Things have changed. It didn't start off very well. The guy at the check-in counter wasn't very friendly, he even forgot to give us our breakfast coupons, I had to... more
