Location was great for us- near family and the mall. Rooms had everything you would want as far as fridge, king size bed, plasma TV etc. but very dated. The big whirlpool tub didn't have a drain plug and hot water leaked constantly ( not good during a drought and trying to be eco-wise). Windows were old and didn't fit... more

We were disgusted the minute we walked in this hotel with the asian lady at the front desk fighting with her boyfriend on the phone in Japanese. Once we got to our room, it was dirty and outdated with an 80's country decor. The carpet was filthy along with the floor and the overall appearance of the bathroom. The design... more

I booked through the website which gave the best rates (unlike most properties, Internet rate was better than AAA rate - if you're staying for a weekend make sure you get the weekend special). The room was large and extremely comfortable. It even had a kitchenette. The location is excellent for a tourist, walking distance to 2 malls and the... more

We stayed here for one night and chose this hotel based on its convenient location. However it was a major disappointment. I had reserved 2 rooms on their webpage, but when we arrived they said that I had only reserved one...although my email confirmation said otherwise. The room stunk..possibly mildew/water damage? The website boasts of jacuzzi in the room. Yes... more

My Girlfriend and I had stayed at the Valley Park Inn for 1 night. The room was fine, there really was nothing to complain about . yet there was nothing to right home about either, except the fact that there staff has a thieving problem. As well the poor management performed by the name of Sam. I left my Hygene bag... more

This place was an absolute disgrace. My room was supposed to be a non-smoking room but it clearly wasn't by the smell. I then went down to ask for my money back, which they refused to return because of a 24 hour cancellation policy. Instead I was given another room on the other side which smelled worse. The carpet even... more

This is definitely a two star hotel with breakfast included. I booked the room via the hotel website and called to confirmed. My reservation never showed up on their end, but I showed them my paperwork to guaranty my rate. We checked in after 9:30 pm and left before 10 am. Room #208 is outdated and has a musky/moldy smell... more

As another guest has mentioned, rates seem to be set on the whim of who you talk to. Be sure to get your rate for the duration of your stay in writing. Rate quoted at phone booking did not match with what we were told when we checked in. In fact, desk clerk gave 4 different rates while we were... more

My vollyball team and I stayed at the Valley Park Hotel in San Jose, Ca on Nov 12-14,2007. I would like to brag about this hotel on the service that my team and I received. Everyone was very professional and very prompt on additional request (towels extra bed ect.). Of all the hotels we stayed troughout california this hotel was... more

I think they are running a "bait and switch" operation. The manager reserved a room for me last month for this month (November). Because he said everything was taken care of, I did not call to confirm my confirmed room. What a mistake that was. I wasn't even told that there was a computer "glitch" -- they just said that... more
