We stayed for 3 nights in late September as part of our San Diego honeymoon and would have extended our stay at the Beachcomber if they were not fully booked. We loved the view that each cottage had, the adirondack chairs in front of our room and an easy walk to great restaurants and the beach. There is a dirt... More

This was the BEST family vacation we could ask for! The Beachcomber was absolutely perfect! The views you see in their photos on their website are REAL! The set up is so unique- everyone has their own front porch with the same gorgeous ocean views and then there is a sprawling lawn overlooking the ocean with charming thatched umbrellas and... More

My wife and I were traveling down to San Diego and just happened to run across this place. I have no idea how we found it, but it was spectacular! The room was kind of old and quiant?, but the view of the ocean, the sound of the waves crashing, the train tracks right below the bluff, the restaurant on the... More

I came here with 3 of my friends for my 18th birthday, and when we arrived we found out that I had booked The Beachcomber Motel in Fort Braggs instead of San Clemente, so word of advice, make sure you're booking the right one! Luckily they had a cancellation so we were able to stay there after all, and I'm... More

My wife, daughter (almost 17) and I have been vacationing here for the last 10+ years. Most recently, we stayed two nights w/o July 18 and three nights w/o July 25. The view and setting are spectacular and that's always been the draw. The accommodations have, until this summer, been lacking. Often described as 'quirky' or 'funky' in past reviews,... More

Above all, you are close enough to the ocean to hear the waves while enjoying exceptional views from any room and the motel’s center lawn. You can admire a great view from your bed, from the Adirondack chairs on the porch, and from the lawn chairs and lounges. Few places in Southern California do this as well. Close to the... More

Loved this little motel by the ocean. It was a bit on the pricey side due to high season, so we could only stay one night, but it was worth it. The view is amazing, the stay is relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Great great place. Train is just part of the background noise.

This hotel was awesome! Very clean, great customer service and a beautiful view of the ocean and pier. For guests that have a larger vehicle, parking is very, very tight. All rooms have an ocean view, chairs on the porch as well as lounge chairs in the yard.

Enjoyed our visit from check in to check out. We got there a little early and was still able to get into our room... Then on to boogie board at the beach below (we brought our own beach toys) and then dinner at the pier. . The nearby train was not a problem at all during the night, never even... More

Our dear friend, who is a true beach lover, recommended this hotel on our way from LA to San Diego-his description: funky, great location, truly "motel no-tell" type accommodations! Frankly, this would NEVER be my stop if not for our friend! Well, the Beachcomber more than met our expectations for location, view, proximity! Old fashioned motel - concrete block outside,... More
