What can I say... I wanted to stay in a wigwam for the past 40+ years. I'm from So Cal, but live out of the country now. The Wigwam Hotel was great and deserves the highest rating not because it's luxurious, but because it's classic! Kumar greeted us with open arms. He's welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable of the area.... More

What a fun place! The wigwams are much larger than you'd think. Very comfortable beds and newer TVs. There's a pool, small but super clean. The gift shop is full of Route 66 souvenirs, kitschy and fun! The roads inside the property are large enough for a bobtail semi and the parking spaces are too. But the BEST part of... More

After some of the comments posted on this about the motel, the location and their staff we still wanted to give it a try as myself and my girlfriend were doing the whole Route66 trip....anyway, drove to the Motel and parked outside to take some photos before we went in to enquire about availability for the night as it looked... We had booked this before our trip in June on route to our next destination and specifically for the experience of staying in a Wigwam. Having spoken to someone a few days before our stay who had warned us that San Bernadino was not good and not to go out after dark, we were a little nervous. The area the... More

Wigwam Motel is a nice unique place to stay that's part of Americana. The Motel is well maintained, even though the manager called it "a dump". The manager who I think was the owners son is kind of what I might call a "surfer dude" and very knowledgeable about Route 66 in California. I thought the San Bernardino Wigwam Motel... More

This motel is very well maintained and the wigwams are set out in a half circle. Plenty of parking. The staff/owners were very friendly and helpful. We liked the decor of our wigwam, but the bed was very creaky. The bed was very high off the ground, so much so, my partner had to help me up or I had... More

The neighborhood is crime ridden and not a safe place to stay with young children. The front desk rep and manager were rude and uninviting. We ended up leaving immediately and driving to Victoria Garden... having to stay and pay at a different hotel but at least we felt safe and welcomed.

My mother was nothing but nice; allowing you to check in VERY early nearly 4 hours before check in. While I was having breakfast in the back; I watched how your husband rudely spoke down to my mother about "payment" and you stormed out of the lobby; to return to say "oh I found it"; this is when I said... We stayed at this hotel on our first night of traveling Route 66 from LA. For anyone making this trip either east or west bound, this motel is a MUST! Forget all the other run down and overly neon motels along the historic road, this one has been updated and gives you the experience of staying in a kitchy place... More

It was so worth staying here! At first I thought the area was questionable but it turned out to be okay. Each of the Wigwam is a separate unit; mine had 2 beds, a table & chairs, flat screen TV, and a mini fridge. WiFi is free. The bathroom was good, with a shower stall (no tub). There is a... More
