This is a nice hotel in a bad place, miles away from the 'hospitality lane' where all the good restaurants are. The neighbourhood felt more like 'hostility lane', especially when you had to sign some papers during check-in relieving the hotel from responsibility if your room was raided. Gash, I never had anything like that before. There's a big supermarket... more

Based on the earlier reviews of the hotel, we were unsure of what to expect ... but the standards of the brand are definitely in place, and - since we always enjoy Holiday Inn Express, we were pleased with the stay. Changes in the bedding for this brand have been particularly positive. No other nationwide "budget" brand offers such a... more

Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted in a welcoming manner and attending too with the utmost professionalism. Parking was abundant the amenties were many. Very close to an array of shopping and dining and local government offices (e.g., libraries, etc...). The rooms were stylish and accomodating. If ever in the San Bernardino area again, I will most definitely patronize this... more

Stayed at this Holiday Inn for its convenience to the Orange Racetack. Immediately I was disappointed by the area it is located in and the front staff was less than helpful. Our room smelled when we got there and we had to open windows and the door to air it out. The two queen connecting rooms is a real treat... more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in December 2007 with my husband and 2 year old son. Although we reserved a 2-Queen suite and upon arrival found that this hotel does not have any rooms with two beds...our 2 queens were in separate, adjoining rooms. The area is pretty run-down, without a gated parking area. On our first night... more

I stayed here for a 4 day business trip. I too try to use the HI Expresses on business because of the value (internet/parking) and pretty much consistency. The parking is a nightmare. I was at the time 4 months pregnant, the area is not the safest, and every night I came back to the hotel from an evening meeting... more

If there was ever a reason to not book a hotel sight unseen it very well may be this one. I was continuing a trip through California and had booked 3 nights here via the Holiday Inn Website .. It was the only hotel available at the time. I found the hotel which from the directions have you change streets... more

This hotel is in a very bad rundown area near downtown San Bernardino. There are zero restaurant and shopping options in the area. In addition, there are about 80 rooms and about 30 parking spots, so be prepared to leave your car unattended somewhere in a dark side street while you're staying here. Or just be smart and stay in... more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express San Bernardino during a business trip. The hotel was a good place for a night's rest. It appears that the hotel is pretty new or recent refurbished as everything was in very good condition, and check-in/check-out was very prompt and efficient. The room was a little small, and as I had a room... more

I stayed here three nights for work. I enjoy the uniformity and accomodation of the H.I. Express Hotels (esp. the free wireless internet and breakfast). This was no exception. The property isn't in the best area (to be expected in San Bernardino), however I've seen worse. The hotel was obviously recently renovated and it feels new inside. The room is... more
