So this place is 1/2 the price of anything around and people rate it poorly. If you want to pay 150$ a night to place your head on a pillow and shower stay at the pricier digs. I have stayed and paid 5x Black Bart prices in other places (usually due to being one of only a few hotels in... More

The place didn't seem well maintained to me. The office is not staffed after 9 pm. You have to go to the bar around the corner to check in (you pay the bartender). Not overly clean, but I guess it was alright. The town seems to roll up the sidewalks after dark. I couldn't find anywhere to eat after we... More

Spent on night. Checked in. The tv wouldn't work so the clerk moved us. Went to dinner at the inn. It was excellent. Went to our room, pull down the blanket to go to bed & the sheets were dirty & there was hair on the pillow. My daughter got clean sheets from the clerk and we changed the sheets... More

Spent two nights here. Old hotel, young lady working at the desk. She was very helpful and delightful and went out of her way to help me figure out the tv. The rest of the stay was "interesting." The office is definitely NOT handicapped accessible, with very steep steps. Our room had a dirty cup on the table and no... More

Tried to stay there Christmas Eve and Christmas night (2 nights, paid) The whole bottom floor of the hotel had been flooded previously, so there was no chance of having any car side accessible rooms. Got in the room, it smelled and was about 40 degrees. Took an hour to get it warm enough to get out of your clothes... More

Old hotel, good enough for a night's sleep and shower.

This ain't the Ritz but in fairness, the people are much nicer, the beds just as comfortable and the price way more reasonable. Certainly the "renovated" rooms are a little older now and a few tweaks need to be done, like caulking around the bathroom. But hey, the pool is always sparking and there is always a positive response to... More

Got a good nights sleep and an extra towel from the friendly staff. Quiet on the nights we stayed. Rooms on the pool side were remodeled and comfortable. Few TV channels but not an issue as we weren't in the room much.

My boyfriend and I stayed one night at the Black Bart Inn so we could attend a concert in nearby Murphys. I was disappointed that the pool was closed as I intentionally got there early so I could get some pool time. When we got home from the outdoor concert we wanted to take showers before going to bed. We... More
