Second time I stayed here. They accept pets, no problem. And have a separate section of the hotel for smokers. Clean and comfortable. Not bad if you are driving the boring 99 highway in California. Room was clean, bed was firm but not hard. Free parking,breakfast and newspaper.and not far from small restaurants, It was quiet and not far from highway. The desk clerks were professional. Had coffee and tea all night in the lobby. They had a small store in the hotel.

Nice room. Took the $1.50 upgrade to the executive room. Huge desk and recliner. Hot breakfast included sausage & eggs and u-cook waffles. Large breakfast room. Within 100 yards of several fast food, sandwich, and sit-down restaurants. Just far enough from the freeway so you can see it but not hear it. Secure location, friendly staff.

I have stayed at La Quinta Modesto/Salida and each time it has always been a great experience. The Young lady that checked me in is also pleasant and always remember me from previous visits even if it's been over a month.
