The beautiful ranch is in the hills of St. Helena. Far enough away from the towns that it is quiet but close enough that you can go wine tasting at all the other wineries or go into town for dinner. The rooms are comfortable, the host are great. Wine is poured when you arrive as well as every evening outside... More

RustRidge is an old friend. We have stayed at this B & B/Winery/Horse Ranch on several occasions. You will know how significant that is when you see that this is not a casual place to get to. It is up windy roads, east past Lake Hennessey out of Rutherford. You have to be going there to get there; but do... More

A great visit to see great people. It was so enjoyable to be with Jim and Susan and see the world of Rustridge B&B. The breakfast was slow but was really nice when brought out (especially the second night, our last). The hiking was great there, but you can also just go in the swimming pool or have the great... A truly peaceful getaway within easy access to many wineries (many off the beaten path) Susan and Jim are amazing hosts and take good care of you. This working ranch is located in a lovely setting and the sun set by the pool is amazing. The breakfast so bountiful you don't need lunch! Have stayed twice and hope to return.

My wife and I just had a great getaway at the RustRidge B&B and Winery. The location besides being in a picturesque setting was perfect in that it was far enough away from everyday life but close enough to downtown for dinners or a day at the spa etc. Susan and Jim were great and made us feel very comfortable... Take a stroll out of the Ranch house when it's night and you will realize you are in a wonderful peaceful location; the occasional coyote calling in the distance; the hoot of an owl and as you look up thousands of stars you never knew existed. The light and sound polution are virtually none existent here. But jump into your... More

This is a lovely b&b with working winery on top. we arrived mid afternoon, enough time to be able to catch a little bit of sun by the pool, it was so peaceful out there we had the place to ourselves. Jim and susan were very welcoming. we had a little wine tasting on the night with another couple and... More

Way over priced .....dirty house , unfriendly staff , pool had bugs in it , breakfast sucked ....Susan the co owner ,Acts like its a large put down and a waste of time to intermingle and talk with her guests . The wines way over priced . The wine quality is marginal at best. No place local to have dinner... More

I was saddened to read this review from a guest who apparently stayed a year ago and just now submitted this. RustRidge is a working ranch with vineyards, a winery and thoroughbred racehorses tucked in the eastern hills of Napa Valley. The B&B is located in the original 1930's ranch house. The ranch has a wonderful history and it is... More

Why this property was perfect for me; 1. surrounded by gorgeous nature and wildlife, vineyard and pastures with grazing horses. 2. welcoming, gracious and hospitable hosts Susan & Jim. They are very helpful with recommendations to restaurants, directions and activities. 3. Clean, comfortable and cozy bedroom. The attached private bathroom had amenities; hair dryer, soap, shampoo& conditioner, bubble bath soap,... More

A little off the beaten path, near the town of Calistoga, Rust Ridge produces excellent organically grown wines .In addition to the winery, Jim trains horses which can be seen on the property and has a charming guesthouse which we did not explore. We were at the vineyard at harvest time and it Jim took us through part of the... More
