What a great place. The owner Jeff pays attention to every detail. This was our first visit and we were two couples up for crush weekend. We booked the guest house - which has two bedrooms, two baths, a large central living room, a fully functional kitchen and a large patio complete with overhead mood lighting. The rooms and bedding... We visited the Black Rock Inn for a two night stay while attending an event in Napa. Our room was beautiful; very spacious, light and bright with comfortable bed, excellent shower and a nice outdoor porch. We wished we could have stayed longer and really enjoyed the property - there were several nice seating areas where we could picture ourselves... More

Stayed here with my husband and his family to celebrate the 40th wedding anniversary of my in-laws. Us "kids" stayed in the private house and it was gorgeous! Great amenities, comfy beds and a huge master bathroom. Jeff is a riot and an incredible cook--breakfast each morning was so delicious, flavorful and never repetitive. The inn is also close by... If you're staying with a group in Napa, this is a good location. This a beautiful location, with a main house and a guest house. We had a girls trip and took the whole main house. The rooms are a generous size and well appointed, although the pillows definitely need to be changed. Breakfast is served by the inn keeper,... More

I'm glad you liked the property as well as my breakfasts. Very sorry you did not like the pillows, many people that have stayed here have commented on how much they like them (and even asked where they can purchase them). As far as my attention and service goes, I am at a bit of a loss. I was here... More

We stay at about 3 B&Bs every year throughout the country, so we tend to critically compare them. We had a disappointing stay at another local inn and found Black Rock Inn to be just the place we were looking for in price-value. Nestled in a secluded woods setting, Black Rock Inn is a housed in a beautiful building with... More

We stayed 4 nights and wished we had time to stay longer. The Inn is perfect for couples wanting to get away and reconnect with each other. Jeff and his staff were great hosts, always making sure we had everything we needed. Jeff suggested many wineries that are off the beaten track and all were fantastic. He helped with dinner... More

Absolutely perfect. The innkeeper and owner, Jeff, is a knowledgeable and gracious host. The inn is immaculate and ideally nestled in the heart of St. Helena. Jeff is a skilled concierge and pays attention to details. We will definitely revisit this place and do not hesitate recommending this gem to our friends.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the B&B and thoroughly enjoyed it. Jeff (owner) was fantastic. He provided us with the best suggestions for wineries and restaurants. His knowledge of the area was amazing. The room/B&B was clean, roomy and very well kept. The group breakfasts, which were a great way to meet and chat with the other... More

This B&B was recommended by trusted Houston friends and the accommodations and service lived up to the hype. First, Jeff, the owner is very friendly and knows how to cater to a wide variety of travelers. He has a great sense of whether you want to chat or need downtime. He's super friendly and has lots of great insight to... More

Based on so many good reviews, I had anticipated a better experience. I booked the 3 nights hoping for a romantic, special occasion type stay for my husband's Birthday. We love staying at B&B's rather than hotels, and had high hopes for our visit. If you are looking for a Warm/Fuzzy romantic Inn that offers special touches and acknowledgement of... More

First and foremost, I feel terrible that you had a disappointing experience. I apologize if you were not aware that cell reception can be very spotty throughout the Napa Valley. AT&T service seems to come and go on my property but works pretty well in the front areas. On the evening you mentioned (the 2nd night you were here), I... More
