Was so happy to have found this lovely spot, and it didn't disappoint. Must be the best value in all of St. Helena. Situated 2 blocks from the main street, very quiet, with a great coffee spot just a block-and-a-half away. Beautiful manicured garden leads up to the house. Spacious, nicely appointed, separate sitting area, very comfy bed, huge bathroom... More

I booked a reservation in January for our trip in March. We drove down from Portland (10 hours) and got in at 9:00pm. No lights on, nobody home. I called, emailed, rang the doorbell - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. No note - nothing. We got in the car and started to look for another hotel, and the porch lights started flashing on... More

My confirmation states check-in from 3-6pm, but I would be able to accommodate guests at another time if they alerted me in advance. (Having driven down, I assume they had cells and could have called.) The guests did not arrive til after 9pm, and I was retired (as I assumed I must have been mistaken about the day they were... My mom and I stayed here for 3 nights during a recent visit to Napa Valley. This is a beautiful place in a perfect location. Every detail is just as it should be. Location is perfect... just blocks from lots of shops and restaurants. Thank you Polly for a wonderful stay!

Firstly, if you're coming to the Napa Valley I would skip Napa in favor of St Helena. It is a beautiful town, with so much within walking distance - very handy after a day of wine tasting. We had three nights at Adagio in the Sonata Suite. It's not really a bed and breakfast, as Polly doesn't do breakfast. But... More

We spent 3 nights in the downstairs suite in early May. The location is excellent. Very quiet location a very short walk from main street. The room is beautifully furnished and the bathroom is huge. The flowers in the entire neighborhood were amazing. A place I would recommend (and already have) to a friend.

We just stayed two nights in the Sonata Suite. We had stayed at this property last year when it was a B&B, and although we miss Polly's wonderful breakfasts, there are a number of good choices right on the main street and a coffee shop just 1 block away. We reallly like the ability to just make the easy walk... More

We stayed in the Sonata Suite for 3 nights. It's no longer a B & B operation but that suited us just fine as there is a nice coffee shop just a short walk away and no end of options in St Helena. The room is huge, beautifully furnished with lovely linens and a comfy bed. The property itself is... More

My husband and I think of St. Helena as our "home away from home". We have stayed at the Adagio Inn 3 times in the last year, once as a bed and breakfast, and twice as a rental. We absolutely love staying there! We especially enjoy it as a rental as we like to have our own kitchen and the... More

I had to be in St Helena for a surgery, sadly, but was very lucky to have found the Adagio. It's a lovely Victorian home, and Polly is a wonderful hostess/Innkeeper. She was very welcoming, and we'd ended up renting the first floor, so we had that all to ourselves. Two living rooms, a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. The house... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to Napa and had a very good experience. The Adagio is two blocks off of main street and very quiet at night. There are only 3 rooms so noise from other guests is not an issue. Polly is a great cook and makes fabulous gourmet breakfasts. Wine is served at 5:30.... More
