What a lovely experience to wake up and have coffee, surrounded by vineyards. Very clean, quaint B & B., in the heart of wine country. Breakfast on the patio was delicious, and the new acquaintances were a pleasure to chat with. We arrived late, and they had wine in the fridge waiting for us. And red wine on the table,... More

My husband and I as well as another couple chose this place. We will all definitely return on all future trips out to Napa Valley. The breakfasts were great and hearty each day. This is not a simple breakfast. The wine provided each night is a great way to wrap up the day before dinner. John is the best host... More

Over April 3-4th weekend, my husband and I spent two nights at this most charming Victorian Bed & Breakfast. After a terrific phone conversation with John, I was hoping to meet him. He was at the Saturday breakfast and wife Hope at Sunday's. The hospitality, maps and information given to us made our trip a memorable event. John suggested the... More

A really fine little B&B tucked away between Yountville and St Helena in the Napa Wine region. An outstanding breakfast prepared and served to gourmet standards. In the evening, wine and cheese are provided on a delightful outdoor patio where we met a really fun European couple and had pleasant converstation over wine and cheese. Very clean and inviting. John... More

Some friends of mine and I stayed at Shady Oaks together and couldn't have been more happy with how friendly, available and accommodating the staff were. Not only did we see the owners more than once but Hope, the most lovely innkeeper ever, couldn't have been better! How did we get so lucky? The rooms are so charming and clean,... More

This was a cute and quite place, surrounded by trees and just the perfect amount of sunlight. It was easily accessible to everything in town. The bed were comfortable, the rooms were nicely heated and very clean. Also the food was AMAZING!!! You can tell the owners pay attention to every little detail. We will be back, I'm sure of... More

Oh God. We are extremely disappointed with this BB. My Fiance took me to our second trip to Sonoma, Napa, St. Helena. I was in charged of a romantic BB selection. He wanted a special place. I did spend a few hours reading reviews, searching maps and based on the reviews, I choose the Sandy Oaks. I even spoke with... More

After 30 years as an innkeeper I am still amazed sometimes. Our staff reads all our reviews. They work so hard to make sure that everything is just right. So I want to say to Hope, Lilia and Patricia I know this one bothers you. Read all the other ones around this and you will really know how our guests... More

Very quaint and quiet. Wonderful service. Would definitely stay again! The area was beautiful. I enjoyed the champagne breakfast with fresh fruit, fresh croissants and eggs benedict. If you are looking for a get away near wine country, this is a great choice!

My wife and I celebrated 21 years of blissful marriage at Shady Oaks Country Inn and had a wonderful stay. The room was comfortable, the food was great, and the advice for local activities priceless. We'll be back!

We were back for a second time, and were not disappointed. The Inn is charming, and we love the Winery Retreat room. We love the single seating breakfast where you have a chance to see where everyone has been, and get recommendations to plan your day. The owner is usually on-site to help with reservations or whatever else you need.... More
